That sounds likely. It is noted that the White Buffalo shown is, in turn, not a purebreed (purebred?). Actually, it's mostly like very few of the buffalo at the show are purebred. Most buffalo now living are genetically descended from cattle and buffalo both.

unfortunately, where I live I can only consume mediterranean buffalo meat. it is very good, tastes a little more sweet than regular beef, I wonder whether American bison has a similar texture and taste.

This is soooo wrong... these guys are fully aware the Lakota and other tribes across America believe that a white buffalo is the most sacred living thing on earth, and yet they sell it like it is a car or a tractor. (It should have been offered/sold privately to a Native American tribe as a gesture of respect! (Considering all of the valuable land and natural resources that have been stolen from them, it's the least that could be done.)
