thanks for the information
ОтветитьGreat points! When practicing from concealed AIWB, it seems to only have the tactical option anyway because of the natural draw stroke.
ОтветитьVery interesting. I am a self-defense shooter and was always told not to do the "bowling ball" technique. Thnx.
ОтветитьHow about that crazy holsters?! Does it only hold the trigger guard?
Ответитьgood stuff Myles. for dot shooters, another thing to mention is that different draw strokes may impact how fast you're able to acquire the red dot.
ОтветитьThey used to call the L as the American way and the diagonal the Filipino draw in the competition world. I believe Jerry Miculek also made mention of it before. Either or is great but I wouldn’t like the fishing or bowling methods.
It’s great to do both but I like the diagonal as you can already shoot right outside the holster from the hip at a compressed retention. The diagonal extension is nice because it’s quicker as long as extension is a luxury I can afford. The diagonal still allows for relatively shooting as you extend since your support thumb can be an aiming device.
The straight line is slower overall because you will be delayed looking for the sight when it gets to full extension.
The guy in the video took a long time to shoot when he should have picked up the sight and shot as soon as his arms extended (doing the "tactical" method).
I agree for defensive I carry AIWB and sport I am strong side so it's made it easier for me to be able to differentiate between what I am doing and once again train train train
ОтветитьThanks for the video!
ОтветитьWhat's the name of his pistol?
ОтветитьConcise, deserves more views.
ОтветитьVersus
ОтветитьThe pistol presentation on the L pathway occurs by practical considerations. In competition shooting, the pistol holster is an open type. In law enforcement, the holster is of the closed type, and sometimes with active retention, positioned higher on the belt. Therefore the gun is extended until is completed out under the armpit. Then, from the chest level, we push the gun foreword, to meet the non-dominant hand.
It is a methodology, and nothing can be left to chance. Another example is that we remove the empty magazine with the non-dominant hand. Should not simply let it fall..., maybe it falls, maybe not. We don't have a second chance.
There are many other aspects, also.
Leaving personal considerations aside and excluding weapon manipulation, the two techniques, are distinct.
Thank you.
Do I need to bring the gun to center of the body after the draw like a lot of instructors show? I do not mean high on the chest, but in the in the middle of the trajectory. It is clear that it is faster to bring the gun direct to the aim ?
ОтветитьExcellent demos….👍🏾
ОтветитьThe clip is fine but the indexing Wrong I'm looking for sportive shoot Not operational
