Michael made out with other women after breaking up with Holly and yet glorifying about his love for her. For Holly, she only started to date Michael again until AJ didn't propose to her, let lone staying in one relationship. Holly's reason of not being able to continue relationship didn't make any sense because she did do it with AJ when she was working in Scranton. There was nothing amazing about their relationship apart from their similar temperament. There was no depth in their love. However, I feel bad for Michael because he really craved for love and always wanted a family. He got a family in the end, not sure of love though.

almost cried when i first saw this scene

Jim acts like he took it slow the whole time with Pam, and therefore Michael should do the same too. But he didn't. He also told Michael that love at first sight doesn't work, when it's all but stated that he fell in love with Pam at first sight. So Jim is just assuming that Michael isn't as controlled as he is, when in fact Jim is nowhere near as controlled as he thinks he is. The feelings that Michael expressed are not too far away from Jim, only Jim had to learn how to suppress them enough not to arouse suspicion. And we know from other members of the office that he wasn't great at this; while he believed that nobody knew of his feelings for Pam, we can see that Angela and Phyllis were well aware of them, and Pam herself suspected from the very beginning. So I love it when Michael tells Jim that he "took it too slow" with Pam (very true). I also love it when Jim admits his amazement that Michael is "killing it with Holly". All of Jim's expectations about Michael ruining things don't materialise because for once, Michael's forward nature works in his favour and following Jim's advice to the letter would have kept him in the friendzone.
