1978 I'm at my friends house in Illinois. His brother had the TOTO album and was playing it. I'LL SUPPLY THE LOVE was on and I remembered hearing that on the radio. But...when the next song came on...GEORGY PORGY... I was like, WTF is this?? I kept playing that song over and over again. My friend thought I was nuts. I was taking piano lessons a couple years prior. I was looking for sheet music for this but there wasn't any. Years later, a greatest hits sheet music book came out. This song is very simplistic with the chords. But, to make it sound like that first time I heard it years prior, was impossible to replicate. Now, whenever I play it, people think it's Eric Benet's song!! If only they knew...
