I had worked at Beech Aircraft in Boulder CO, (1968-1969). Beech was a subcontractor to North American Rockwell for the construction of those cryogenic tanks used on Apollo. I had seen those tanks in the clean room, I worked on the BE-99 Airliner. I was in Vietnam in April 1970 when Apollo 13 had their calamity.

The people were aware of every update on Apollo 13. Churches asked people to pray and we listened to every moment.
There were many cigarettes being smoked at Mission Control. They were the luckiest men ever to splash down.

I don't understand why they didn't jettison the Service Module earlier. It was dead weight.
