Proof Heroes are NOT Worth Upgrading! (Clash of Clans)

As Clan War Leagues comes to an end and another Town Hall 13 F2P Series coming soon, I wanted to test a theory I was seeing mentioned on Reddit, “Should we focus on Hero Equipment Upgrades more than Hero Upgrading” and was very surprised by the comparison results. So with this information, I will definitely be using Hero Potions to war and collect Ore to Upgrade Hero Equipment. For Hero levels, I will just focus on my New Champion by using the Free Books of Heroes each month. Do you think this will be a more efficient method?

Hero potions in war is what I do but still you can't participate in war if you are upgrading a hero so it defeats the whole purpose they need to make it so we can use them in war(only) while upgrading

I’m cool with them being down while upgrading but for war they should be available

They should make heroes available while upgrading but they are still the same level while they are upgrading, that way alot of people don’t have to worry getting their dark elixir stolen while they are on war or cwl.

Worst update is hero equipment upgrade. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Easily my least favourite update of all time from Clash of Clans, I couldn't believe how useless they'd made the hero upgrades

It honestly doesn't feel like its worth waiting 4 days for a Hero upgrade and only getting a tiny boost for your Hero stats. I think Supercell need to revamp the entire Hero upgrading system to account for the new Hero abilities. There is such an imbalance between Hero stats and abilities, it doesn't seem like Supercell tested enough with the new features. It would be cool to have something rewarding for upgrading your Heroes, something to work towards to but right now it just feels completely pointless.

I feel the heros levels you used all at 20 dont match well, because like level 20 king is TH8 level, while royal champ is already way better at level 1. (Usually)
I do agree with your statement with priority. Although, im still going to upgrade my heros, I just like having the maximum dps

I don't think it's worth it to max your heroes anymore like still upgrade them but don't max them.

imo the king is a monster now with the blacksmith and items upgrade, i max him up, other heroes i just use for their abilities XD

This would be a good point except for the fact that they use completely different resources to upgrade so this video is useless

might not be worth it but im still doing it as 20 lvls difference still make a difference after all

my take on it is that when they released the new selectable abilities based on what level your hero’s we’re should have been the level they start at when you also unlock them too. i don’t understand why the original abilities were gave levels to start at but the new ones aren’t.. also like many have said just make the hero’s playable while upgrading. simple fix i hop the devs listen to us and get this fixed soon

i didnt use anything else than barch for farming so i need the heroes conmstantly so when i upgrade them i can really attack xD

I just reinstalled the game, saw I was full of dark elixir and had nothing else to upgrade other than my heroes, now they’re sleeping for 4 days upgrading while I get this video recommended

Supercell should make Heros during upgrade times usable in attacks because literally the only times you would be able to play with your heros if your leveling them up is when your about to finish leveling up your whole base.

Bro I'm at th12 and i havent had all of my heros for months now. Its kinda annoying not being able to use them because their upgrade timers are so long and they cost so much

What im doing is prioritizing upgrading the equipment by joining wars and using the newly updated hero potion that temporarily makes the hero level max based on the th level unlike before only increasing the level by +5, once i maxed out the equipments i now stop joining wars and prioritize upgrading the heroes

Because you don’t really need heroes when farming

Just make then upgradable via the lab.
You can still use it during the upgrade

why everyone is talking its bad the game is balanced and fun and it makes it easier to all the new people to get higher because right now we have 16 town halls guys so its not easy and its kind depressing if u start from lvl 1 so its not easy and the game is so fun stop complaining its and most important its not pay to win so just have fun with this update it gives us new stratiges

I just love the satisfaction of getting all my heroes Maxed

If the drop the time it takes to upgrade it would be worth it and i mean drastically i see no big difference in my level 1 royal champion compared to my level 13 now and compared to my 25 when i have potion

I have my giant gauntlet upgraded to 19 . I have 4 accounts

I upgrade them only with book after th14 days

Update incoming, they are gonna nerf equipments instead of buffing the hero

I upgrade everything because my storage is filling up so quickly that I barely manage to spend all those resources. Not even trying hard to loot...

As a th13 who maxed my heroes before update I will still upgrade my heroes once I get th14 since it’s only like 5 weeks. I feel like it’s still good to upgrade them because for multiplayer attacks it makes everything easier, makes ur base stronger in war, and what r u gonna do with that dark elixir. Also good luck queen charging with lvl 20 heroes xd

Hero potions are broken...

Level 20 hero’s just need less power or hp so it’s worth your time to upgrade

i think supercell should consolidate some upgrades, making heroes have less levels with same max stats, less upgrades, same result.

there’s excessive hero level.
Hero level should be highest 30(×3 compared to troops level)
It’s so annoying to wait & upgrade heroes to that much of level.

If the heroes are high lvl they can defend the base

Heroes will always be worth upgrading, even if it's a small advantage, any strength towards your offense will give you a better chance of 3 starring.

the level 90 AQ was 100dps stronger than my lvl95. I cant hardly triple 16s anymore. Such BS!!!!.... NERFED TO THE DIRT!!!

The reason to upgrade them is because 90% can't do attacks like shown in this video. The skill isn't there so people need to rely on more HP and DPS.

They should be same price but instant, there is now a time lock with ore, and they should be expensive because there is a difference and they have a much more noticeable difference on defense aswell.

Ik ik... I really need hero HP and Dps.. cuz i can deal more damage and tank a little. If upgrade ability, its feel like so hard to get ore. Since my loot elixir and dark elixir easily get rich cuz of the clan war and the star bonus at multiplayer.

It only means that upgrade your heros as much as you can but its should not be a priority to upgrade heros to max I only use book of heros by the way

Instead of hero potion there should be a potion that lets us use heroes while they are on upgrade
