Hearthstone WORST Expansion

Sorry but no. Knights of the Frozen Throne was the worst.

GvG was amazing, great cards. Dr. Boom was perfectly balanced Ty.

I wouldn’t put GvG on this list. Yes it was BUSTED.
I would approach “worst” from a different perspective and replace GvG with something forgettable.

Goblins were awesome, plenty of good mechs, implosion is great, current state of the game is broken

I hate the entire horde vs alliance arc of hearthstone. I hate every single player character stand in from that line of expansion.

I'd rather have every expansion have hits and misses than a single other The Grand Tournament

Both the list and reasoning makes no sense, 1 card does not make qn entire set be bad, sure barnes was bad but thr rest of karazqn was fibe, if u put it at 5 i could see thr argument... But 2???? And no grand tournment? Thats insane.
Rhe arguments are just lackluster which doesnt help a nonsensical list.

I think this list is really confused. Rarren seems to be mixing up definitions for "worst" so the whole list is kinda just nonsensical. Mixing sets that have low-power lackluster designs with sets that were super impactuful but ultimately unhealthy for the game is really hard to follow. It seems like this would work better as two seprate lists that each focused on one of these types of bad sets

United in Stormwind is basically when I stopped playing HS, despite having logged in every day (and always clearing out my dailies) since season 1. I mean, power creep is real in most long standing games that add new stuff in, card game or otherwise, but new cards were starting to get so powerful compared to older stuff that cards which might have been legitimately insane in some previous expansions weren't even played.

Ok, technically it was Alterac Valley, because I distinctly remember the rogue 5 mana card (looking it up reveals it was Contraband Stash) - that let you replay 5 cards from other classes that you'd played that game. Sure, those cards would likely be random or semi-random (ie. discover). But 5 mana to replay 5 cards? Depending on how the game went that could easily be 10+ mana worth of stuff, for 5 mana. And the card, from memory, wasn't even close to playable, despite it potentially being able to put 5 decent size minions on the board for 5 mana, among other things.

I've been thinking about getting back into it because I liked the look of the Starcraft stuff, and some of the new Emerald Dream stuff, but Hearthstone advances so much faster than Magic does. It's pretty overwhelming. When I play The Bazaar and MTG daily, I don't think I have the energy to figure out what's good in HS these days and if I even like playing what's good.

United in Stormwind was the first expansion I played. lol. I played Quest Warlock. So much fun. It was a bad expansion but some of those decks were crazy. Like Garrote Rouge and Anaconda Druid

Starcraft is the worst expansion.

Goblins and Gnomes was a great expansion, it's just not as good as most other expansions, but I'd say it was more fun than witchwood still.

If the expansion costs money, its one of the worst expansions.

Just about every expansion past old gods. Cause old gods in term of player availability was literally god tier. There hasn’t been as much “free engagement” since then. Atleast for main hearthstone.

Shredder war called Dr. 4, GvG didn't have a lot of good cards but the cards that were good arguably defined the time it was relevant. Haven't finished yet but TGT better be worst hehe
