Wow. I was born and raised in Houston and I don't ever remember hearing about this

A man that intelligent but with zero social skills, is no secret agent material. But we do know what happens when ppl are alone with only their own thoughs for too long. They will lose it. And with that comes severe paranoia, rage and often with high intelligens, narcisissm. He knew how to disappear, to him that was the easy part. And the murders, well one can only speculate about exactly what they did to him. But considering what he did to the fathers body, it's not hard to guess that he was molested by him as a child. I'm more suprised that he did'nt do it sooner.

These days you can’t even trust the soccer mom or the suburban housewife!! Gated communities with million dollar homes have people living there that just might have their kids chained down in the basement. I read about a case of kids that were chained down in the basement and were not being fed. Their suburban mom was charged and convicted!! The neighbors were shocked as you can imagine.

Charles looks a lot like Lee Harvey Oswald. I still say Oswald didn’t kill JFK. He was set up to take the fall and Ruby made sure he would never make it to court. It’s just my opinion.😊

As soon as you said his spiral downward started in 1957 I smelled MKULTRA.

I was a little girl when this happened in Houston TX (71 now), the newspaper didn't reveal gory details but did mention whose head was in the refrigerator.
Their son was never found, the case unsolved.

I bet the judge was just happy that someone took out the trash. A brilliant kid was abused and he got revenge when he was finally stronger than his abusers.

To be honest sounds like to me he probably had a shady job maybe with the government where nobody knew what he was doing. Something went wrong and to stay ahead of the situation they killed his parents to frame him. This is the theory that makes sense to my brain!

As nobody had seen Charles while he lived with his parents, perhaps he was being kept captive and that was him in the freezer while his father made off into the unknown?

I'm from 79' in Houston and by the time this story hit my ears..it was changed to a guy who would go after kids and lock them in refrigerators. Needless to say it was an urban legend. It wasn't till I was about 14 when my buddy's uncle told us the real story.. but not quite as detailed. Definitely subscribing to this channel.

This is hands down the best true crime mystery I've seen. I was captivated from start to finish. Here is why I like this channel: I can listen to your voice all day. Some of these channels have the most off-the-wall people narrating, people trying to be creepy, or people with annoying accents that I can't listen to for more than five minutes. And the story itself - this really should be made into a movie. Great work!

I’m pretty sure my grandmother had that same fridge or one very similar. It was always rather empty when my dad would take me to visit her, but I remember that icebox better than my grandmother herself. Hard to imagine it filled with bagged meat.

I'm not positive he committed the murders. With all of his connections SOMEONE could have carried it out and 'frightened' him into fleeing. Yes, he lived there, but is there concrete proof HE did it. I find a lot of assumptions going on.

It’s always chilling when these stories are told and they are so close to home. You’ve covered a few really close to home crimes. Very intriguing and informative. Would have never known about these cases.

The fact that the father was emasculated, his eyes gouged out, and disemboweled is indicative of extreme interpersonal rage. I would suspect the father had been far more abusive than anyone truly knows.

When I was in the Houston Police academy, the instructors gleefully showed us the crime scene photos of the victims right before lunch. Their were hunks of body parts wrapped up in their fridge. For lunch, I had a pimiento sandwich, which resembled the body. The sandwich didn't quite taste so good that day.
