President Trump cannot simply do a one hundred percent sudden about face on Ukraine ie was his hands, the reason is that we have a very complex problem in the USA with a solid minority of the Republican party, and a solid majority of the Democrat party openly designing very anti-Russian bills that are literally in opposition to what the administration has previously said about Ukraine.

These people this neocon/neoliberal alliance -we know who they are Lindsay Graham etc are dangerous to US Security, Russian Security, and therefore global security. Unfortunately this is a powerful block and the trump administration is trying not to give them any power. To do that Trump has to have a public face, and another face which is what is really going on.

Many have said, based on public statements, that the administration Trump, Rubio etc. do not understand Putin's position.

I view this as nonsense. Trump and Rubio know the position well, and also know these positions contain red lines that cannot be negotiated.

It is my view that the USA and Russia have framed their negotiations on how to end the war, and not a ceasefire (despite public proclamations) I am sure that it has been decided by both parties that if Z cannot negotiate terms, the Z Gov must go. Further I am certain they have discussed potential escalation inevitability, as well as where US redlines might be .

How or why can the USA dictate redlines to Russia? Well they can't, but they can discuss them, and Russia is very much aware of the domestic situation in the USA, and the tightrope the Trump administration is walking, literally trying to fo a U-Turn on failed US policy. Therefore Russia is likely to avoid large civilian casualty escalation as they move forward, and perhaps final lines have been discussed, as well as much of what the future should look like.

Therefore, I do not pay much attention to what the US administration says, no matter how bombastic to Putin. I view it all as show.

I pay attention only to the actions the USA takes or does not take as Russia now escalates the war. I believe both the USA and Russia know that for peace the Z gov must go.

As for Kellogg, he is a neocon in the administration who needs to go, but canning him makes a very visable statement to the domestic audience.
