I'm born and raised in NL. We have to add a number 6 to the list. Clarenville. It is the hub of the east coast with a population of around 10-12,000. ( Clarenville & surrounding area) The town has an uncanny amount of business' for the population because it serves the east coast with a population of 90,000. The town has grown substantially in the last 40 yeasr, and especially in the last 20 years. It has a Ski hill, Bowling alley, Movie theatre, new hockey arena, 6-7 of the main car dealerships, many restaurants, Wal mart, Canadian tire, 4 major hardware stores, up-to-date infrastructure, a good economy, clean town, several golf courses, nearby Industrial sites, nearby commercial farming, Terra Nova park on its door step, less than two hour drive to the city. At a cross-roads on the TCH with the burin and Bonavista peninsulas. located in a protected harbour, with very little fog (5-10 days per year). and more sunshine Than the surrounding communities on the Avalon, burin and Bonavista peninsulas, because of Clarenville's geographic location, "tucked away" behind Random Island (Newfoundlands largest Island). being sheltered from the ocean is what gives Clarenville its good weather and higher temperatures. I travel across the Avalon, east coast, and Bonavista for work, every week, and it is very noticeable how much better the weather is there.
ОтветитьNl beautiful place, but managment is garbage. Lived here all my life. 40 years. In the early years life was much better, but as time goes on the people who run this place is driving people away. Sad
ОтветитьGrocery stores in NL are abysmal… very limited selection… produce is of poor quality and almost no organic…so you can only get pesticide covered in the dirty dozen 😖 Health care services are abysmal… you have to go the main city of St. John’s to access the limited availability of medical specialists, and also for many tests, and surgeries 🤕… Real Estate is overpriced… especially the newer houses developers rushed … built slipshod — buyer be ware! This is a nice place to visit but terrible location for retirees.
ОтветитьYou can get everything you need in town too.(.Stephenville) but Corner brook too me is prettier
ОтветитьI live in Newfoundland
ОтветитьBest place in Newfoundland is at St John’s airport on a flight out😆👍
ОтветитьMy husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Cornerbrook this past fall. We loved it. The people were so friendly and the landscape just beautiful. We want to come again.
ОтветитьSt. John's is nasty. Corner Brook has so much to do outside. CB ranked #1 in Atlantic Canada for outdoor leisure
ОтветитьI love in the woods of holyrood, i have a cabin, cabin cruiser, solar panels, grow everrything
ОтветитьYour not a newfie, cmon!
ОтветитьGreat video, I’m living currently in Vancouver and planning to visit Newfoundland and see the vibe there.. If I decide to live there, close to water, which is the best place in your opinion? Thank you!

ОтветитьBeen in alberta 20 plus yrs long enough
ОтветитьMin wage in alberta 15 dollars per hr sickening homeless people ever where
ОтветитьAlberta dont want 59 yr old guys 😂
ОтветитьGoing back myself had enough of Alberta too cold to costly jobs are few and between this place is a young mans country oil patch for young folks that can work long hours
ОтветитьThe problem with Nfld is theres too many Newfies.....Not enough Newfoundlanders. 😂😂😂
ОтветитьAlong the south coast of the Newfoundland...AKA TERRE-NEUVE, every other village IS A FRENCH VILLAGE! Rose Blanche, La Poile, Grand Bruit, Baie des Loups, François,
Goultois...etc...etc...Hey, I flew out of Corner Brook, Actually Pasadena seaport in Deer Lake! I went back later and flew out of Stephenville airport...Stuff you dont forget!
Back harbour off Twillingate my ancestral home.
ОтветитьIf I were a skier I'd probably pick Corner Brook.
ОтветитьIm from ireland and going to newfoundland in 2 weeks time. Renting car and driving around, any must see places?
ОтветитьEast coast weather has a lot to be desired, summertime isn’t warm. On the west coat scenery is nicer and weather is warmer
ОтветитьI do not have a car, so the area must be self contained, so unless I need to , I can be ok their
ОтветитьOh yes , I prefer a small community, no city
ОтветитьHi there all, would like your input, I have lived all over Canada, would like to live out west within the mountains , but now being

ОтветитьThank you for sharing this. I was checking out schools around St. John's and wanted to check any vlogger who has comments about how is it like to stay/live. This video made me more convinced that St. John's is not bad even though its isolated (for me). :) can't wait for your new video!
ОтветитьI love this. Very soon I will move to newfoundland
