MASSIVE War Within Beta Warlock Changes! Infernal, Doom and More

RIP Demono, Doom as a passive is an atrocious change, was made for the noobs but penalize every good players. Its cool its hitting in aoe but from a gameplay pov its awful

I took an extended break after the Aberrus raid but god damn is it nice to come back to WoW and have a slew of Kalamzi content to go through to get caught back up on anything warlock related.

I feel like my Demo-lock damage has been cut in half and is even slower now in the last week. It is not fun to play anymore 😟

I just hope Affliction and Demonology are the two best specs for WWI. Destro is too boring / turrety

Last changes for aff needed soul rot down to 45 sec cd dark glare 1 min 30 sec cd and some better shard regen the tick speed increase for agony back. Improved Haunt rolled into base haunt. Bring back a couple removed talents and make those mid tier talents 1 point.

Man, i was hoping to see a ton of fiends popping with seeds of their demise. I hope they change it from flashpoint and give something else or improve it, but right now for towards the end of the tree it's eh.

@Kalamazi NOW we need some sort of utility/stops for m+, having to cast shadowfury, and demo not having access to other pets for dispells/purges need to be fixed

why do they have to remove the fun stuff? I mean, just nerf it or something, redesign etc; but outright removing it for something as boring as just getting haste is so uninspiring

so there's now a way to get infinite dot on destro but not on aff which is realiant on dots, genius

Hope this Doom will scale with mastery. Miss stacking haste/mast on Demo, instead of dipping into every stat like current demo.

Warlock devs finally started doing the right thing. Listening Kalamazi and THDLock. I just downloaded Beta and finally got a chance to try everything out. Destro feels so damn good. Finally after years of being stagnant, it feels...mhm, seriously awesome. Soulfire flying out in 0.4 secs, demons spawning from Diabolist, Chaos Bolt crashing, Infernal be slappin', Cata is applyin', we got the Rift builds, we got the Soulfire builds. Feels good to be able to cast something relatively quickly and the interaction between CDF and Soulfire...that makes CDF feel fun, powerful, that near to sure fire quick cast of Soulfire from CDF...feels right.

TWW looks damn good in terms of fun for warlocks, something that Dragonflight really wasn't. I loved Dragonflight for everything else it offered, but...warlock was...boring.

The reason I like watching this channel: I'm an average player. Sometimes a little above average, sometimes below average. So many class experts (which Kalamazi obviously is) only seem to target their content to the elite players, and some treat everyone else with a "git gud" mentality. I'm older, not getting any faster. "Gitting" any "gudder" than I am at the moment is unlikely. But Kalamazi has never been that way. In this video, for example, there's the topic of Doom going passive as a way to reduce APM, and Kalamazi celebrates that decision. For those of us who aren't super-adept at juggling an overabundance of key presses, occasionally turning an active into a passive can be a huge QoL improvement. It makes the spec more accessible across a wider range of ability levels. So I just wanted to thank him for not only making exceptional technical content, but for being kind enough to remember that not all of us can live in the land of orange (or even purple) parses, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun right alongside the ones that do.

So Demo has pretty much 2 capstones to do with Core's. But have nerfed core's so much that they are pretty much dead rows over the middle section

I think it's a shame that doom ends up like this... I much prefer doom that's a real spell and brings out a doom guard like the first version we had on the beta as well as the alpha. I didn't like the class set in s4 and putting it as a talent is no longer a nerf, no, it's an atomic bomb that totally reduces the fun we had making doom guards appear everywhere, which for me is what should be at the bottom of demonology and not this atrocity we have now! So Blizzard, please go back to the way things were at the start of the beta, even if it means nerfing the damage, but at least make this spell fun at last!

So much emphasis for destroy and demo. And affliction still desperately needs help and they aren't addressing it. Make more noise for this spec before it becomes the next feral druid and completely ignored for the rest of its existence.

i am sorry...but the doom change makes the wl unplayable for me. i hated s3 and i quit s4 because of the stupid tier bonus. its not fun its not engaging its just bad. the possibility that i have to play that stuff all the time (in m+) is reason enough to just cancel my warlock...sadge

I still like the other version of doom, because if you use your 2 cores and doom is still on the target, it will expire and you wont have another core to renew it, like it happens on retail right now.

im curious why no one makes video about soul harvester tree? is it uncomplete or smth?

I don't understand why they didn't keep it so that Hand of Guldan reduced the Doom timer tho... That makes way more sense for AoE settings. The whole talent row also seems to be super undertuned in ST

I honestly think they keep referencing leveling for destro as a bit at this point

at this point i May just go Warlock for TWW. blizzard has just straight up neglected Shaman (elemental for me specifically) and we are already in Beta. crazy how much attention locks are getting

The Demo and destro trees look so good. Blizz devs did great on those. However, the aff and class trees need work. And if they go untouched it'll pretty much be a wash. Hopefully they don't half-a$$ and finish the job.

I hate the Rite of Ruin treatment of doom, just copying the sebonus almost exactly, I like the idea of a more simpler doom where you don't have to bother with target swapping and maintenance style gameplay in aoe but still have to use doom in a smart way (snipeing).
A good middle ground would be target capping doom, and have doom eternal give cores when doom expires this is inline with the idea of reducing apm and button bloat also an ICD on Doomguard spawn (butt still 100% chance) or 100% chance to spawn after 4 doom explosions is way better then just a simple chance or RPPM

Doom being a passive tied to Demonbolts: Very nice!
A bottom level talent that makes Doom summon one (1) Imp: yaaaaaay -_-.
The Doomguard still being a proc: ffs.
Destruction still casually summoning more Doomguards than us and for longer: Oh come on!

With Crashing Chaos and Rain of Chaos being to similar enough that Rain has almost no area to be used here is a change so that both Choice node talents can both be good in different situations.

They should make Crashing Chaos only effect Chaos Bolt to be the Single Target and Havoc Cleave option.

Then make Rain of Chaos rock AOE

This would give both talents a place to be played Crash is ST 2 target Cleave and Rain for AOE

Spending 4 points on doom related talents is kinda not worth it i guess?
