You can feel the reverential respect for the piece, clearly it means something truly special for him... I read in the Segovia version's comment section that this movement inspired Bream to get the acoustic guitar

This is the best performance i have seen. Maestro Bream. The equality of speed, the melody, and the fingers is horrifyingly hard to master. Wow.

I believe that this was the piece, as a boy, hearing Segovia play it in London, inspired Bream to embrace classical guitar. He elevated this piece into prayer. Thank you, Master Bream, for your gift.

I think playing tremolos is the most beautiful part of guitar playing and this is the best recording of this music.

I was lucky to see him play in San Juan, Puerto Rico about 10 years ago. It was sublime experience. His performance was brilliant. Recueerdos de la Alhambra was included in that program. He played so beautiful that it sounded like music from heaven. May the great Julian Bream rest in peace.

The arpeggio is beautiful but the melody doesn't quite fit. Listen to Segovia's version and hear the difference.

Julian Bream was 2nd to none,a true maestro of the guitar & is sadly missed.

Take atention on the right hand: it is almost unmoveable, with very discret movements of ima fingers. Perfect technique!

During his 87 years Julian gave us a great deal of musical beauty. He was a critical component in the resurgence of interest in the classical guitar. He made his mark and now he is gone so we thank him after the fact.

And yet again, another musical treasure given to us by Julian Bream. All one can do is smile and say thank you.
