The aircon unit wound pump out that much water. The issue is the inside of the door lining. It fails and water running down the wet side’ of the door crosses to the dry side then appears at the bottom of the inner card. It then runs over the lower door plastic in to the footwell - in large quantities. You need to dismantle the door inside and stop the water crossing the plastic barrier. Poor design by Golf

Its appalling that VWs whether Golf, Touran, Jetta, Passat, Toureg, all sufder from leaks, predominantly from sunroofs. Its a crime, that they have taken shortcuts and design such flimsy systems in recent years that are causing such pain and angst amounst owners who, primarily brought these cars because of the reliability and trust afforded to German car manufacturers. This trust is being destroyed, and I can see the onset of decline in the German car industry. Its shocking the way they are treating their customers despite knowing that there is a flaw in the design. VW should recall and fix for free!!!!!

Same problem on my mk6 golf gtd the boot and whole passenger side is soaking rear seats full of mold that I can't get off (full leather) and when we had the cold weather all of the inside of the windows would be covered with ice and carpet frozen taking 20 minutes to get off every morning before work. Hope one of these solutions work. Thanks for the vid!

Going to give this a go later, what did you do with the screen wash to neutralise the smell, just spray on some diluted mix? Thanks.

Bought a car to sell on and it’s been sat there not driven but unsure whether the leak is coming from the same place. Really annoying
