Here is some answers to some of the questions you may have:
Are we still hiring?
The composition of the team is considered done for now, but your applications could still be useful if we ever need more members or replacing one of the current members
Is the Bereft Souls a compatibility mod or a content mod?
The Bereft Souls is a compatibility mod, we may add content necessary to make the mods compatible with each other but the added content will always be related to at least one of the original content mods of the modpack, we won’t add our own original content
Is Infernum added in the pack?
No. (multiplayer issues)
Can I still play with it when the modpack comes out?
You technically can, your computer is not going to explode when you try to load Infernum on the modpack, but the difficulties that we chose to balance the modpack around are Expert-Rev and Expert-Eternity, so playing with Infernum will lead you into an unbalanced mess of a playthrough full of worldgen bugs. Short answer, we are not making Infernum compatible
Will The Bereft Souls be multiplayer compatible?
Yes. The modpack is planned to be multiplayer compatible and will have an integration with Bisect Hosting services to install the modpack directly from the server control panel
Is the Spirit mod included?
It is not, the Spirit dev team decided to withdraw from the modpack
What is the Patreon money used for?
The Patreon money is 100% used for the development of the modpack, to pay the members of the team, I do not take a single dollar for myself, and it will stay this way for the entirety of the development of the modpack
What about the Contributor items?
Having a 100% custom item for every Patreon contributor will be absolutely impossible to do in any reasonable time, as there would be 130 of them to do. As said in a post on Patreon, the Contributors ideas will have to stick with the progression that the developers and progression designers have in mind, which would probably be for weapons for the classes that we will need to expand to the endgame

ОтветитьAll of this seems really insane. I'm wondering though - is the team gonna do something with sprites of existing enemys/bosses, so the art style won't be all over the place, and be somewhat...compatible? IDK how to say it

ОтветитьOnce the full modpack is done, you'll want to release a 2-3 min trailer. I know I can sit through this and enjoy the reasoning. However, someone like my friend would just brush past these longer videos. I don't think he or others lack intelligence, but it's just the way the algorithm works.

ОтветитьI think a difficult thing is gonna be that Calamity mod bosses are a lot harder and more flashy than Thorium for example, so I'd like to know how you plan to make it so mods like Thorium don't feel limp when compared to Calamity and so on

ОтветитьI've played terraria for many years, over 6k hours... and I find it funny that people who play modded have NEVER LEGITIMATELY beaten vanilla. I find mods boring and unbalanced. Calamity - as good as it is - it is really designed to completely ignore vanilla mechanics and everything in it is optimized just to go after extra hardcore Calamity bosses. Etc. So yeah... after trying a few popular ones - I will never touch them again. Vanilla is the way it is intended to be played in a nice balanced and challenging way - and if you are bored - try harder difficulties, or dev seeds. U will be entertained.
