The bar for kine only has 4 holes
ОтветитьYou guys only put 3AAO IN MY PACKAGE!!!
ОтветитьIt’s more harder than the video 😥
ОтветитьThe bottom slatting parts are cut too short on some making the first steps insanely difficult
ОтветитьHe missed out screwing the base to the sides with six small screws. It's in the instructions, fortunately. Oops 😣
ОтветитьI am happy I watched the video first, it made it much easier putting the Storage Deck box together! :-)
ОтветитьThe very first step is annoyingly difficult. The pegs in the long sides are not long enough to easily lock them in. Frustrating.
ОтветитьExcellent video. The only thing I'd include is a close-up of the screws you used because the paper directions aren't as clear as I would've liked. And, it's ok to pause a little longer on where to attach things on the hinges. We did put it together and we do like it, but what I suggested would've helped to make it easier. Also, I wish the manufacturer would've drilled the holes all the way. Our's were plugged with plastic. They should also let it be known that you need quite a few tools to put it together.
ОтветитьThese are great boxes but this video is misleading and not all that helpful. The assembly is not as smooth as it looks, but the boxes are sturdy and I did finally get it done, but took a long time with occasional breaks. On this second box that I bought it was harder to attach the front and back panels than the first time around. On one panel, I did finally get it to slide over by banging it with a rubber mallet. It took a number of tries, and one time I just got lucky and it started moving over. The other panel was insane. The rubber mallet didn't move it. I tried something called "white grease" on the pegs; didn't help. All the pegs and openings looked ok, and looked pretty much the same; but clearly not all the pegs were sitting down far enough into the holes. Finally I got a flat head screwdriver and with the screwdriver parallel to the long edge of the bottom panel, I pried each side of all the openings in the bottom panel UP a bit. I figured if I raised the edges of the openings even a little bit (pried them up w the flat end of the screwdriver), the pegs might fit down far enough to let the panel slide. And it worked. Between prying up the edges of the openings, and the white grease and the rubber mallet -- at least those two panels were finally in. I am encountering other problems as well, but am excited to at least get this one solved.
Ответить2/10
ОтветитьI like how the direction shows to not use a drill but this guy is using a drill
ОтветитьThis shit is a fucking pain in the ass to set up. Actually fucking terrible
ОтветитьThe front panel pegs do not link properly to the holes. They sent me another one and it worked properly. But after putting it together noticed the replacement front panel did not have a hole for a lock like the original one did. Also, the new front panel is not straight like the original one making it impossible to close properly leaving a gap. And no way to lock it closed and sealed. The holes were not always aligned properly making it very difficult to get the bolts in. The box looks good and sturdy but it was more work than it should be. Arggg. To much work to replace the front panel now.
ОтветитьThis product is garbage
ОтветитьThis video is not helpful and the first step is not working
ОтветитьThis is very misleading. The front and back panel won’t slide in this easily. I couldn’t get mine in after an hour of trying just to realize the pegs on the bottom are too small.
ОтветитьSteps 1.2 and 1.3 dont work because no matter what I do it won't slide over, I've used my feet, a mallet, I've tried trimming the excess plastic from the mold process, I think this is just a poor design because out of the box it shouldn't be this difficult on the first and second steps.
ОтветитьYo! Why aren’t the pegs long enough??? Step one is freaking impossible and I’m a navy Seabee veteran over here. I can damn near build ANYTHING!!!! But not this. The panels will NOT slide into lock position.
ОтветитьAssembly is incredibly difficult. Gaping holes underneath. Waterproof how?! TheBut worst of all, the lid does not line up properly. Overpriced.
ОтветитьThis box is not as sturdy as I thought it would be. The walls of the box bow out just from a little pressure from the pillows. This causes the lid to become misaligned.
ОтветитьI have tried everything and the panels do not slide, on either side. I’ve no idea what to do with now. Mallet didn’t even do the job
ОтветитьThe lid assembly is ridiculously hard. The bar does not slip easily into the channels. Once I hacksawed an opening I got the bar in. Now I find the screws are too big for the holes. I wish I had never bought this hunk of garbage plastic.
ОтветитьI had no problems assembling this without help, just me, only needed a wall for support and I am generally not super handy at these things. The hardest part was to get the little hinge screws in at the very end - the holes in the plastic are drilled from the opposite end the screws go in, and those suckers would NOT want to go in. I got it eventually after some struggle.
ОтветитьCan't even get past the first step.. got the back to slide in and lock using a mallet. Front does not slide to lock in place. Looks like a manufacturing defect
ОтветитьI wish the screws was marked properly in the bag instead of all of them thrown together and hoping for the best
ОтветитьI could only slide the back panel, the front panel would not slide across so i returned it, what a shame it was a good price and i hoped it would work, but looking at the comments it seems like alot of people had this problem, so unfortunately i can not recommend this to anyone.
ОтветитьStep 1 is a joke. Hey Lifetime, make the sides fit into the base. The video is also a joke which shows it going into place with a light foot kick. I’ve been using a mallet and still get it to move
ОтветитьThe assembly is way more difficult than I imagined. Finally I am at the step of assembling hinges and it looks like I have two of the same side hinges. This is extremely frustrating. I guess I will just use them because if I take it back to Costco, I would have to redo the whole assembly… would you be able to send me a new set of just the hinges somehow?
ОтветитьStep 1.1 does not work, the tabs do not just pop in. I can’t get them to go in even with lots of force. It seems like they aren’t deep enough to catch on. Very frustrating!
ОтветитьIt isn’t that easy as you show to us. 😅😅😅
ОтветитьFor the love of God! I'm billing Lifetime for the marriage counseling my husband and I are going to need after putting this thing together.
ОтветитьThis was a nightmare to install. It's a really poor design.
ОтветитьHelpful tip for those stuck on the first step of locking the front and back into the base. I got a rubber mallet and lubricant spray (WD-40 also works) from Walmart. Hit each peg and hole with the spray. Have someone else or a wall as leverage against the piece then hit them to the right with the mallet. I went from 30 minutes struggling in despair to locking the pegs in 2 minutes.
ОтветитьGreat box once assembled. I have assembled 5 over the years. Would be easy to put together if parts lined up with the holes and slots easily. A rubber mallet to beat it into shape is almost a must.
ОтветитьFirst step NEEDS silicone spray or similar (WD-40) in order to do this ! Everyone give credit to @theboondocks7373 who posted this further down, but it needs to be the FIRST thing you seed before you start!
in order to lock those stupid cream tabs into the darker base, I had to stand the thing on end so I could see what was going on. Then I used a soft mallet to get them to slide into place front and back into the base. Yup, I had to spray each peg and hole with the spray. I did it alone with a table behind for support, but it is better to Have someone else or a wall as leverage . THANK YOU @theboondocks7373!!!
START THE FIRST STEP WITH THE UNIT UPSIDE DOWN. That way you can SEE the slots and the tabs and what is seated and what isn't. Do the front and back panels at the same time so you don't need to worry about balancing it and holding up one side. WD40 on the slots or tabs would probably facilitate the "sliding." We also used a rubber mallet at various points.
ОтветитьThe ball joints don’t snap in that easy. One is broken that I have!! And I wish putting it all together was easy as the video makes it. A lot of holes don’t line up. But I got it together by myself but still knew a new spring.
ОтветитьThis would have been easier if the holes lined up and actually had room to turn the screws/bolts.
