What a beautiful movie!! Wish they would do films like this one again!

Kind of off topic...but houses and neighborhoods in 90's movie were so damn perfect and idyllic. It's unreal.

SPOILER - This movie would make a better point if one of them wasn't dying. We are supposed to empathise equally with them both, but that's impossible when one of them literally loses everything, while the other one faces temporary rejection by the dying woman's children.

I remember when this movie first came out I didn't think I'd like it, but I did watch it and I loved it.

Ok the movie is wholesome. But only one thing is weighing on my mind toward the ending. Islam is fair and kind. It allows the husband to have up to four wives. But ofcoz with every wife consent and only if he could afford to be fair with every one of them, emotionally and physically. I would be devastated to be the ex wife. It would hurt to share. I personally dont want that. But it would be nice to have an option to share than to be discarded.

I remember this movie as a kid, I’ve been looking for it everywhere. I’m so glad it came up on my Facebook feed randomly.

Loved this movie since I was a kid. And I always cry to it. Stepmom is the ultimate tearjerker.

“Stepmom” was originally supposed to be released by TriStar Pictures, (who’s logo appears in this trailer) but was transferred to Columbia Pictures before release as Sony had merged Columbia and TriStar.

Chris Columbus is a king of feel-good movies. This movie will forever be engraved in to my memory during a time when I was so young, innocent and used to watch movies with all my family.

This is such a good movie. A real classic

I remember being like 7 years old and being devastated by this movie. At the time I didn’t know anyone w/ a terminal illness, but later in life, I feel this movie prepared me for those tough losses and it’s something I come back to every few years. If you or anyone you know is fighting a serious disease, know you’re loved by many and try to remain strong and happy, if not hopeful. Life is hard but each day is a blessing, regardless of how tough it is.
