The trade was the best the 49ers could get for an often injured player they need to deal...with McCaffrey and Bosa and Trent Williams and even injured Purdy all needing to be paid. Which skilled player do you take a chance on? Two years straight of a MASH unit half the season created this. The commanders only are risking one player here.

Debo has turned into this new trend of selfish players. He's not a good teamate look how he called out players on the sideline of games, that's not his job his job is to be the best wide receiver he can be. He also is on his way down, and he couldn't do anything last season when his team needed him. Instead he blamed others. He was and a problem. I was such a big debo fan even after I wasn't happy with his talk before he got his deal in 21,22. This new trend of players thinking they are worth so much needs to stop they already make enough and should be proud and happy they are able to play a professional sport. It's not like he was making rookie year $. BA is next shut your mouth and play and get paid what you get paid. Good job on the 9ers getting rid of a problem player. Maybe he will grow up a bit and become a good role model, but players need to stop being selfish it's ruining the league. Don't get me wrong it's ok to believe in yourself it's ok to want that big pay check, but do it with class.

Calling this a calculated risk had to be for clicks. Historically 5th rd picks become starters a whopping 4 to 5% of the time. Whatever he has left he is legitimate starter. They will NOT have him be a RB. They will get him the ball other ways. And he fails Ok, you take another shot next year. Not to mention, I seriously doubt they are done at WR. Maybe not another high level FA or a day one draft pick, but a middle FA or and day 2 draft pick. Love how this FO operates.

Certainly a great confidence booster for Deebo. i.e.: "We hope you aren't a bust, but we'll blame you if it happens." You gamble, take the responsibility for the move and give the man some respect. Don't call him a calculated risk before he is even on your own team. Be happy about the trade (publicly & w/ Deebo). (Dumb PR move Commanders).

The 49ers could only get a 5th round pick for Deebo, that speaks to his limited value. Deebo is fat, slow, and only caught 3 touchdown passes last year.

Don't forget about TE Ben Sinnott who the Commanders drafted in the 2nd round last year. Just wait until that monster is unleashed on the league.

Bet the niners are going to pick a quality player and younger player to add to the team. That will produce better than what deebo was producing. I don't think there's any risk at all, even if Deebo doesn't work out all you lose is a 5th round pick, but I think this trade will work out tremendously for the commanders, as long as he is healthy I think he will really elevate their offense.

I don't think he's the best available WR. DHop/Tyreek/Kupp/Higgins are all better than Deebo if varying in draft price.
