Fact check please. It was the largest but not the fastest.
ОтветитьThis is an awesome video and this is a subject that really hits home for me having had a distant family member die on titanic and whose body was never found or was found and buried at sea my great grandfather from Ireland and his brother in law my great grandmother remained in Ireland at the time because of illness and with my future grandmother it always makes me sad that there is no memorial or grave for those who were never found or buried at sea as I'd like to visit it and pay my respect to all of them not just my family members but all who died on titanic but I am planning a trip to Halifax Canada to visit the graves of those who were found and buried there
ОтветитьSurvivours guilt is harsh these brave survivours were in their own right hero's because they got on with their lives and were made strong people because of the disaster and the pain they had to endure because of the people they lost friends with family members I guess something like this lives with you for the rest of your lives I don't think I could have survived the sinking of the titanic I would have been a 3rd class passenger and not being able to swim would not have helped me situation in any way
ОтветитьYour description says April 12th 1912 but it was the night of April 15 1912 I had a relative from Ireland who died on titanic he was my great grandfather from country Cork fortunately my great grandmother and future grand mother stayed behind due to illness or I may never have been born or worse yet if they'd all made it to America I could be American now so glad I'm British
ОтветитьAs an Irish man I must say this, I very much admire Ms. Delia's consideration for the hat her mother had bought her. As a poor third class Irish woman, living in a time period when a lot of Irish people were refused work, she knew that she wouldn't be able to afford a new one. But I keep imagining them asking her why she's getting off the life boat and she's just like "My hat!!!" Lol
ОтветитьI never believed that the iceberg was the ONLY reason why that ship sunk.
ОтветитьWow I can totally see why anyone would emigrate at some point given how unbearable the life was in Ireland back then. It's nice to see the Irish passengers are given a spotlight.
ОтветитьHow excited and thrilled to start a new life in America. So very tragic and extremely sad. R.I.P. to my Irish country men and women
ОтветитьThere are SO MANY unskippable ad breaks in this video. It doesn’t seem like all of these are necessary.
ОтветитьImagine be so sure you’re safe, to just die. Imagine how many peep repeated the fraise “Enjoy mates we apart of history” 😢😢😢
ОтветитьWow pay them 25$ in 1912 thats wroth about 780$ today what B.S.
ОтветитьYeah to all the people that took off the extra life boat's how does that make you feel after that happened just brutal i bet.
ОтветитьI never heard about the benefits the 3rd class had. That was a nice ship.
ОтветитьWow, maybe they should have listened to the premonitions, but when you are
in dire straits and starving, you take risks for a better life.
Back to get her fu**ing hat????? Seriously???
ОтветитьSORRY, too painful , god bless RIP.
ОтветитьIm ripping a door off the hinges if im ever in this scenario.
Worked for Rose.
Id be the guy who drank a bunch of booze, so it helped keep my body warm.
True story
Hands down the best documentary about the victims of Titanic...
ОтветитьWho built the Titanic
ОтветитьThey buried her at sea because she was 3rd class
ОтветитьAll the poxy ads its ridiculous
ОтветитьBeen from Cork and live so close to Cobh(pronounced Cove) (Queenstown as it was named then) To look at the remnants of heartbreak pier where all the Irish had to walk on to leave Ireland is tragic. Still, the remnants of that pier represent hope and freedom from a thousand years of the tyranny of the English class system and oppression. People are fascinated by the sinking of the Titanic. The 1997 movie even romanticized this tragedy as the main storyline. Can't get more messed up than that.
ОтветитьHow sad they were held back wen the ship started sinking unbelievably sad😢
Ответитьnever thought about the survivors and what trauma they went through that night we think about the poor ones whos lost their lives we never think about the ptsd the survivors would have had :(
ОтветитьWhere was god as he watched the horror death and terror????
ОтветитьIt seemed like all the survivors had horrible cases of PTSD smh
ОтветитьSurvivors nightmares? An horrific traumatic experience like that would give you PTSD for life. 😢😢😢
Ответить🤍 Here in July 2023 after hearing of the Titan implosion.
ОтветитьI hope those people who got people to sign the papers for $25 for loss of belongings and their mental anguish suffered before they died.
ОтветитьIm crying 😭
ОтветитьI was move into tears about what was really happen and i cant imagine those who are not able to survive..
ОтветитьTwice the commentary mentions that Titanic was the “fastest” ship (amongst other claims about luxury, size, etc.). This simply isn’t true. The Olympic class liners were not designed to compete with the speed of Cunard’s quickest liners such as the Lusitania. They were designed for comfort, not speed. Yes, they still managed a respectable 20+ knots, but they were never designed to try and win the Riband.
ОтветитьI just got Annie McGowen as my passenger card at the Titanic Museum in pigeon forge. I was so happy she survived and lived in my hometown of Chicago. So awesome to get more background. RIP Annie and all.
ОтветитьLove this documentary.
Ответитьwow veri imosional!
ОтветитьWow what a beautiful tribute. Thank you for making this documentary.
ОтветитьIreland was part of the British emporer am surprised to see part of the British empire was extremely poor at the time considering the British colonised America
ОтветитьI hope the Irish village continues to mark the day of the tragedy
ОтветитьI am a huge historical documentary nerd, and this is one of the most poignant and moving that I have ever seen. It is overwhelming.
ОтветитьA canalice desse pessoal da White Star Line me dá vontade de vomitar, que vermes, como uma empresa pode ser tão podre?
ОтветитьThe order for only woman and children was misunderstood. The captain said “woman and children first”, but the crew thought he said “woman and children only”.
ОтветитьThis tradedy will never be forgotten...
ОтветитьThe salt in the water made my eyes bleed...... Well that would be a first
ОтветитьThank for you for this! Its so refreshing to hear about the 3rd class passengers. So many documentries focus on the wealthy.
ОтветитьRIP to all those poor souls. I recently found out through a DNA ancestry site. That I'm distantly related to William Sivier a steward in 3rd class . His body was never recovered.
ОтветитьI was just fine until they spoke about the girl's mother telling her that, to be a lady, she needed to have a hat, and that to be a lady in New York, she must arrive in a hat and gloves.....and then the day before, taking her to get her very first hat and gloves. Then I almost started sobbing. It meant so much to me when my mother let me use her precious MAC lipstick when I was around thirteen, that she only used for best. I felt so grown up and pretty and I know EXACTLY how she must have felt. When you're a young girl you feel so IMPORTANT when someone like your Mom treats you like grown up woman for the first time. You think, maybe soon I will be a beautiful woman too. And then went BACK FOR THE HAT!!!!!!!!!! And Bridget measuring the little girl for a ring.....bc back in the day ppl did that stuff for their neighbors, really sent stuff back.
And Delilah, I get it. The tea leaves said she would die but she already paid so what now?? would have been my thoughts, I know.
