It has nothing to do with gas shortages. It goes up during the summer because that's when people travel the most to do things with their families. They know that people will spend it all just to spend good quality time with their loved ones. So the rich know that they can get more for it. Our government is very supportive of them because the higher the prices the less gas is used for state pollution. But this only effects the lower middle class because the wealthy can afford to travel and do anything they want while the lower income people suffer in slave labor.

Best investment I made was switching to EV. Haven’t been to a gas station in a while. Don’t have to worry about gas prices.
