What audio device are you using right now and would you recommend it to others?
ОтветитьSince i'm a dummy on this stuff is Wave XLR the way to go? I do stream on a single pc setup but i would like to also stream from my ps5 as well if I want to game on that and use my pc to stream it.
Ответитьlatency issues galore with wavelink, needs lots of work.. rodecasters hardware has been the route for me
ОтветитьWell, glad I found this vid. I built a second box for streaming and after scrambling my brain for 2 days and dealing with abysmal on board audio of the stream pc I was just about to pull the trigger on a go xlr. I wondered why I was seeing them on ebay for $200.
Ответитьso what should i get i got a go xlr mini and wanna go up?
ОтветитьYou mentioned the BEACN for duel PC set ups, but it only has one USB port? The rode is pretty but the price is pretty high for the average streamer. I have watched some of your other videos on DUEL Pc setups and honestly I have tons of issues with sound that are quite frustrating!
Ответитьim trying to find a way to let my viewers control my ptz cam with donations. any suggestions?
ОтветитьI like your videos, I've come here to learn and get educated on things I do not know about and it is quite helpful a lot of the time. However, I think when you said "high quality mic audio" not being a top priority is you're using a device like the presonus, it tells me you have not done enough research. I recommend you test it and compare its XLR inputs and overall mic quality to that of the other interfaces you mentioned. I was unable to find you ever messing with their products so I was just curious how you came to that assessment? I think some would argue I may use the presonus if I care more about overall mic and voice quality vs the extras for content creating in other devices.
ОтветитьCan u use the beacn mic with other mixers, and still use beacn's software?
ОтветитьReally like the format of your videos. I picked up the rodecaster duo from the GoXLR mini wanted something with no fuss and couldn't be happier.
ОтветитьGreat content as always!
Steel Series Sonar is pretty sick and it’s free to use without any Steel Series hardware. Excellent processing and routing. Combine it with a decent audio interface, Voicemeeter potato and PCPanel you have a complicated but very powerful setup🤌
What is the best gaming sound card for beyerdynamic star 1770 pro ?
ОтветитьI don't think I'll be dropping $400 or more anytime soon. I'll stick with the Go xlr mini until it dies I guess lol.
Ответитьthis dudes titles are horrible lol
ОтветитьIt’s crazy how people pay money to buy these when every computer has sound mixer
ОтветитьDo you know of any audio devices that have an optical port like the Go XLR? So far I haven't found anything to replace it because of this
ОтветитьI personally use the RME Babyface Pro FS, and in my opinion it is one of THE BEST audio interfaces/mixer for dual pc setups, TotalmixFX software is just sooo convenient to use and RME drivers are very stable. However I doubt that it is an option for most people since it is like $1000.
Ответитьalright i love the goxlr due to the sampler. i also have the rodecaster duo and the sampler on the goxlr is just so good for streaming. is there somthing else i can use to do that feature be able to record live voice and play it back over and over by holding a button.
ОтветитьI am not a content creator. I just want a hardware solution to mix game/discord/music physically. Also need an audio interface for a proper microphone with live monitoring. Seems like all products are geared towards "creators" with funky lights and effects, software or whatever. Don't these solution exist without with bloat?
ОтветитьMan 4 1/2 years is not old at all in the audio world. Good Headphones / Speakers will fucking outlast you if taken care of. Most Amps, DACs and Sound Mixers will work for decades, eventually being sorted out for not having the most up to date I/O. Such a shame TC Helicon jumped the ship not even half a decade into the lifespan of the device. I really love it, but mine already starts breaking, my audio cuts out every few seconds for a few millicseconds and nothing I tried is fixing it, so I guess thats the start of weird issues with some driver.
ОтветитьI'm very happy you made this video. I'm planning to get a mixer along with other things to start streaming/content creating, and you listing out and explaining mixers one by one really helped me out, also making me help find in my price range, so again thank you for this!
ОтветитьHelp a newbie out here. Sounds like your everyday setup is strictly stream decks when you’re not testing new gear. So is it correct to say stream deck now has all the functionality and we can eliminate these audio mixers? What luxury does these audio mixers do that someone that is not a full time content creator and only streams here and there? If I just want the functionality to make funny sounds in game chat, then I probably don’t need these audio mixers?
ОтветитьI have a Rodecaster P2, and I have to say I'm still learning how to fully use it as I have no other experience with hardware like this. But, what it can do and what I've learned about it so far is amazing. An absolutely awesome piece of hardware!
ОтветитьI'm not gonna lie this is a super CRINGE video to watch. Imagine having an audience of people that bought the GoXLR and mini from YOUR recommendation, tell them erroneously that their GOXLR won't work soon and then follow-up by advising them to yet again, BUY a replacement from a company (("CLOSE TO YOUR HEART" more like close to your WALLET from affiliate sales link.)) that literally is brand new and are not doing well at all in the market, from the same people you claim invented the GOXLR.
ОтветитьI paid so much for my GoXLR and now I literally won't be able to use it soon wtf???
Ответитьwhat's the best alternative with wireless headsets ?
Ответитьtried windows 11 on laptop and hate it. So goxlr will always work in windows 10 :)
ОтветитьFor Podcasting, I use a Zoom H6 (with the Exh6 combo, to give me a total of 6 inputs) with 4 SM57's (with A2WS pop filters) and a bunch of table top stands from Neewer. I then have 2 SM58s or some AKG condenser overheads if I need more mics for people.
For live stage shows I utilise the same system with the Rode wireless Go 2 to send it to the camera and have a backup of the recording, I then have a second Rode Wireless Go 2 system if there are extra people or if I want to get some mics on people that will be moving around a lot.
If I have something like a full band that requires lots of inputs and in ear monitors I use a Behringer XR18.
Mackie's M-Caster's look pretty cool, and might work for Linux.
ОтветитьNot a fan of when these hardware devices rely on proprietary software suites to work.
This channel pushed the Go-XLR pretty hard, and as a Linux user I knew it was useless to me because of it's necessary software suite.
I recommend doing your research. If a product work on Linux that means it likely works on Windows/MacOS forever.
Although, I do recall 1st-gen Scarlet audio interface drivers being unavailable for Windows 10 at one point. Yet they always work on Linux because the drivers are built into the Linux kernel itself, no need for installation.
Any half decent usb mixer should work for streaming. I'm an audio engineer by trade and I just use a old Behringer USB mixer for my streams. These streamer specific audio products all seem a bit snake oily to me.
ОтветитьI found elgato has no true latency free monitoring
ОтветитьWhat do you think about the "Roland Bridge Cast"? I dont see much people talk about it and I wonder why? Is the hardware or software not as good as in the ones from other companies like Elagato or Rode?
ОтветитьUA Apollo Heritage Solo - unlike other interfaces it has zero latency and it does all its processing keeping it off your CPU - This is a better pick for musician types but works well for gamers and streamers. If you use Intel based systems that have Thunderbolt 3.
Yamaha AG08 - Their newest and simplest yet - this is made for basically everyone Streamers and musicians also works well with the previous one together in a chain to add more inputs while still getting the benefits of both.
Scarlet 4i4 - Basic but still works as an interface.
Ideally when you start out you want something under $200, when you get more $500, as you upgrade gear you might eventually get to that $1k mark.
PLZ NO
Ответитьgood rundown of options, thankyou
ОтветитьHmm TC-Helicon just barely released redesigns of the GoXLR and GoXLR Mini
ОтветитьThe biggest question is simply this: which device is going to give me the best latency when outputting to a pair of headphones that isn't connected to the monitor port on the device? I have nice headphones that sound great coming from my Geshelli J2 and THX AAA 789, but I have to use the 3.5mm jack on the back of my Wave XLR if I want to avoid significant latency issues.
I love the Wavelink approach to mixing audio. Controlling audio on my Stream Deck is fantastic, but the audio latency is too much when using headphone/headset options not connected to the Wave XLR.
I too am using the M Game Dual RGB. The software is indeed clunky, the tuning features leave a LOT to be desired, voice changer is mid, and did desync before replacing a stock usb. That being said, the routing format is simple, you get 10 sample pads you can customize and change on the fly, seperate audio sliders, multi function mute button, censor button, 48V power, and you get to customize the RGB to your hearts content. I'll continue to use it hearing this news as i was planning for a goXLR
Ответитьwow i couldnt have possibly seen that coming... good thing im still using my goated mixer. still does far more than any go xlr ever could.
ОтветитьThe Wave XLR is complete garbage. So this guy just promotes complete trash. Well done sir.
ОтветитьIs it possible to have a Beacn Mix with the shure sm7b? If so can you make a video reviewing the sound? Thank you!
ОтветитьHey Harris!
As a person who has "adopted" the Elgato echo system, I would love to see a 2 PC setup with the Wave DX and Wave XLR!
Dude! Nice review but seriously, my Tascam Mixcast 4 blows all these away and it's just $380. It's got great Preamps, recording right to SD memory, affects, EQ, tons of gain, compression many many inputs and outputs. Just being able to record has saved me from AT&T after I cancelled my account and they still billed me for months after. After getting a call from their goons wanting money, I played the recording of me cancelling the call and it totally shut 'em down. Consider doing a review of it and you'll feel my elation with the product. Thanks man!
ОтветитьThe GOXLR is one of the best ones, and its dumb that the thing won't update anymore :/
I just want something new thats similar as the GOXLR, easy to use, but for a lower price.
cuz the GOXLR has been 680 CAD for way to long :/
Hey could we get a deep dive of how you use your mixers with your streaming app. Specifically rode caster pro 2 or duo
Ответить
