Dry Cabin Bathroom Construction Begins

Bathtubs are nice but showers are the safe way to go…..I have known people who have slipped and fallen because of tubs and living alone would dictate a shower, showers are also convenient for animal bath time also🐸

My house in Colorado had same planking and I kept it untreated what little moisture accumulates there allows for the fragrance to keep on giving…..glossy covered wood is for countertops in my book.

Making good progress -- I would want a Sauna Room or Area. I remenber an Article in Mother earth News w/ Gus Gunther and a Tree house. -- He built a separate Small Art Studio and Sauna on the Ground level for himself and his GF. It Looked like a good Idea. I gets Cold up there .... 🐻🌲🌲🌿

We are housewives without a husband! Our houses consume our lives with never ending projects. I love seeing what all you have going on but it reminds me of what I have waiting next. Do what you want but do take the easy way (paint) if you can. I look back over my renovations and I spent way to much time and money. Don't let your home own you. It's amazing what you have accomplished in a few years! Kudos Cookie! It's a real treat to watch your progress!

remodeled my home. Mostly on my own. Never ending things to do. Started with new windows and doors. then siding. Roof was Ok. Had new Metal roof put on about 8 years ago. so good to go. added insulation new outlets light switches etc.. still working on better flooring. my floors are peel and stick . this winter i get to start redoing those. new bathrooms kitchen and so on .

You need to take the lower leaves off on your brussel sprouts. Then they will put more energy into making the sprouts. :)

Hi Alone, love your channel! Know you like all wood finish, but how about a white ceiling (Ceiling board) for that area, will make it lighter bright & you can intimately see any moisture coming through

You need the baffling he is wrong it’s from moisture and condensation to run down and out.

Also, he should remove the sub flooring that was down before he put in new subfloor

Take all the bottom leaves off the Brussels just leaving the top cpl layers😉👍🏼

My transmission went recently… it cost me $5500 😬😭 mine was a cvt transmission and I will never go cvt again!

Your contractor should of sanded those post with a belt sander cover more surface space in a 5th of the time,and him sawing wood in the house dust sticking to the walls as he cuts with a circular saw then he had a helper sweep up with a broom huh! Who does that a shop vac is best,also staining the post would of been a quick job with a rag wrapping it around the post and sliding up and down like your waxing it,he makes a easy 1 day job into a 2 week job,the kid is sweeping around kicking up dust while he's putting glue on the floor,Spray foam insulation is best for off grid, rodents don't nest in it,or even sheets of polly board if you don't want to spray foam it just cut and put it in,sorry theres few experienced people out there
