I went to university straight out of high school and moved out to LA. Best advice I can think of for anyone going into college or university, besides just actually do your work, is to enjoy your time and try not to worry too much how people see you. Don’t be scared to just come up to people and say hi or whatever, just try not to be really weird about it. Make friends, hang out with people, join a study group or something or a group that aligns with your passions/hobbies. Also, I majored in Computer Science when I first went to college and I absolutely hated it. I thought I enjoyed it taking classes in high school but college is a completely different ballgame. Me personally, I’d rather major in something I’m actually passionate about so I switched to graphic design. It’s really where your values lie though, are you someone who’s very passionate about a certain subject and don’t mind less pay as long as you can do what you love. Or are you someone who values pay and being able to afford buying a house in a reasonable amount of time.

As a sophmore, the most part about surviving college is to make friends in your classes so you can all help each other. If everyone is collectively failing a class THAT IS OKAY!

Another thing that helps is try your best to pick a major (by sophomore year) and be at peace with it! Accept that yes, this is my life doing business or cs or art or engineering and try to be at peace with it! The inner struggle to find the best path will leave you drained, just find something you enjoy enough and go for it!

I think you should stay away from hook up culture as much as possible I understand you might bag 1-3 girls and that's fine but just not 10-40 girls. Go for someone that is higher quality which might be hard in college but there might be a few of them. It is basic statistics, if you have a large population then most likely you will have a few that have those desirable qualities. The higher quality girl will appreciate you being authentic but that is not an excuse for your authentic self to be fat and overweight so go to the gym. But be authentic in what you like to do and your values. Like if you like business, don't be afraid to show that.

bro I watched your intro to admissions guide last year (summer before my senior year), and now with my first week of college a month away, I get recommended this, the algorithm knows (also thank you for the advice)

If you’re doing engineering please make sure you have some interest in the major and I beg of you to do internships if you want a good job when you leave college, but for the first year focus on building good habits and keep your gpa 3.0+ even if that means taking easy classes.

I was working the whole time I was in college, and I also lived at home, so NONE of this applied to me.

Nah you should only focus on studies and your career, cause then you'll be happy and at peace and be doing a good deed for yourself and others. partying, drinking, dressing like a hoe, tattoos and sex before marriage is for degenerates. I'm starting college or uni soon as an old ass 21 yo and I'll be sure to ruin parties by getting the cops involved unless if the party orchestrators pay me, otherwise I'll be like Jesse Pinkman demanding for my money then call the cops to shut the party down regardless of if it's by a frat or overall student group.
