When I was 8 or so years old (36 years ago!) I remember seeing Filipino fishermen bring those red coral trout back to the beach where I played every weekend. They called them "Lupu Lupu".. I spent the best years of my life at age 4 - 9, learning how to swim in the South China Sea just offshore from San Miguel Philippines at the Capone islands. There were Tiger Sharks around but I never saw one and I did a LOT of snorkeling at that young age, sometimes freediving to 30 ft, maybe more.
