Breitling mechanical chronograph watches need to be serviced every three years or so, to ensure optimal timekeeping. All Breitling timepieces are certified by the COSC and sending them to your local Breitling service center helps to ensure continued accuracy over time. During a visit to the Breitling service center, the Breitling watch is completely disassembled and inspected. Any components that are worn are identified and replaced. The watch is then lubricated and the movement is tested. The Breitling watch also undergoes a water resistance test and is thoroughly polished. As you can see within this video, my Breitling Super Avenger that I purchased in 2009 looks brand new after service. That's an incredible testament to Breitling's quality of service, as I had worn the Breitling watch in oceans, swimming pools and other harsh environments.
