I just bought the Toshiba EM131A5C based on another review for best microwaves for 2022, imagine seeing this review - the EM131A5C is still a great pick.

I don't have a wife.. so I don't care to actually go to the store and shop. If I do go I want to know exactly what I'm going for, get it, and get out. One of my cards is offering me three times the points & 20% off. My microwave isn't completely shot yet. I mean half the buttons still work so I'm tempted to just wait..I don't think it's a thousand watts anymore either. There's a "Commercial Chef" brand seems reasonably powerful and doesn't have a bunch of buttons I'm never going to use. But I've never heard of them. I've had Panasonic, Amana, Sharp,..? One lasted 17 years. This current Sharp wasn't very good. It did last the one year warranty but stuff stopped working about 4 months after the year. This is the fourth year. I've never heard of some of your brands. Some of it screams "Cheap Chinese Crap!" I mean some of the better brands are made in China too but better specs, better parts. I remember when I didn't need a magnifying glass to read these ads. I need someone about 30 to explain all these useful things to me but someone with the maturity about 55 years.
