Actually, i'm confused and speechless.. i'm talent person, i can learning more than 4 languages, i can write, i'm patient, but I feel bad ,empty and scared and I have no goals or dreams.. every day i ask myself,, what I've missed?? it so hard to determine what i want and what am I missing?

We live in a world where material achievements are valued more than a simple kindness such as a smile, peace, hug, and positive thoughts and talk. The amazing thing is that these are free.

I don't even enjoy the simple things in life. I have no ambition whatsoever. I simply live to exist. I guess I like music and stuff. But it all feels so vain and empty.

i am 34 years old today, and having no ambition. i am Chinese, and in China, kids are sent to school to study many things they don't understand. to enter the next level of school, the education system always designs many exams for students. these exams include literature, languages, math, physics and so on. students have to pass them all to get in next level, or they have to terminate the school life and find jobs whatever the age. it's brutal. we all have no so called ambition. if you think we have, it's to make money, and then more money. to make more and more money, for Chinese, is the only goal to reach. for me, money is important, but, not that important. enough is ok. i've quit my job last month, and i will enjoy life for next several months, and then find a job to make money. i have no idea to plan the next five years for my life. the world is changing fast, i can't plan any longer. 🙂

Everyone sure has ambition I did mention mine quite several times but he can't see so he is creating troubles all the times. As a human we should know we can't keep accusing people but he accuse for years so proof he bad.see I can see alot bad other man nv he don't admit even bad

Beautiful story. And powerful message. It's ok to not have ambitions and to be satisfied with yourself and the home that you already have. It's sad that we live in a society that is constantly saying to keep working hard, climb higher, keep excelling, stay hungry, do better, keep going. When plenty of people are perfectly fine with where they are. There is nothing wrong with being simple or what people call 'poor.; If you are comfortable and happy. But you even see rich ass people saying. "I'm going to keep climbing higher and excelling. Why stop now. I want it all." And that is the problem. That is greed and gluttony and is the downfall of men. We live in a society that teaches us to be ungrateful with what we already have and to never be satisfied and to never settle and never stop and that is a SLAVE mindset, a greedy mindset. Sometimes all you need is to be still.

I consider Zawa an incredible wise boy for his age. Why having ambitions for the future to be happy there once you read it when you can be happy now doing what you do?
Obviously, living in the now while having ambitions for the future can be experienced simultaneously too, and looking forward to something is a joy experienced now.

If some other purpose comes to you, & you want to take that on...that's o.k. too...as long as you tread lightly on the EARTH.

I have never wanted a career or to travel the world and at 62 I have no regrets. I'm happy with life, my family, my garden, nature. They are what's important to me.

It's effective on me if I have ambition, if I have projects , if my body and mind is occupied however relaxation and being peaceful is important to me also.

Most of my friends have been giving exams to achieve more or be at a higher position, however I keep feeling that I am not enough because I am ok and happy with where I am right now. I don't know if I will be happier if I am elsewhere. Thank you for this story because it has validated my feelings

As a person who has been trying to better herself since she was 5, because i was taught that i was never good enough from religion, society, and family, because this was continued to be taught to me in school, and as an adult throughout my adult years via my country's media, and cis-iety, this short story provoked deep crying, in exactly the right places. If i dont learn how to be happy inside, i will not likely be able to keep living. This story was very powerful for me. Thank you.

People tend to have things they wanna try or be or achieve just because it seems better than what they have at the time. Curiosity drives us forward. Seeing people and things we start to admire or like them or we find a problem that we wanna solve but sometimes there isnt anything that makes us go so far that we wanna achieve it. If you have an ambition thats cool but no one should be forced to cause having no ambition means youre already where you wanna be and thats a good thing it also means youre aware of what you have and that you appreciate it. Besides people Who reach their goal tend to go further or lose themselves or they try something New They will never reach their Destination because their Destination is it to go further
