I thought I am the only person on earth that still using PhotoImpact & thinks that is way easier that Ps o_o It's a shame that Corel/Ulead stopped creating new versions of PI, (they made a stupid software called Painter instead)

Definitely not a boring tutorial ("keep your pants on..."  LOL!  Anyway, disregarding the colorful comments, PI has always been a superior product, I still have every version that ever came out, but use PI 11 now.  It does everything I want to do and play around with.  I started out with JASC's Paint Shop Pro (PSP), decided to try PI when a friend in a graphics group recommended it.  I also still have my old PS 6, and have to say that Photo Impact can do everything you want to do in PS for the most part.  This is a great tutorial and you can also check out Rosie Hardman's site for some great info.

An interesting thing, I recently wanted to create an instant photo frame (should be easy but...) and this was pretty much impossible in my PS 6 because the tutorial used paths, and this will work in the newer PS but not the older version.  I was using a tutorial someone posted using the new version of Photoshop which was easy.  However, I don't want to fork over anymore money for another graphics program.  Then on a whim I was messing around with my old Photo Impact PI 11 the other day, and of all things, using the outline drawing tool and the stamp tool, I managed to accomplish the same thing that expensive new PS did in half the time and half the steps!  Version 11 came out in 2005!  Sorry to be so long here, but I just had to jump in and say how much I loved PI.  And at a mere fraction of the cost of PS.

Somebody say please - does PI Pro has all the same functions as PI 12? I do not remember which version I used last, bu I want PhotoImpact back to my Win 8.1. And one thing I did not like in previous corel versions is the panel of expert/novice mode - I could not hide this switch and it took too much space on the top of the screen, - can it be hidden in PI Pro 13? because I really plan to buy it in near future. I could not find a good interface gallery on the site of nova development(

This photo editing program literally blows away Photoshop! Photoshop is sooo complicated and stressful to use. This program does everything the same, and works so it's similar to how we use our mouse with click and drag. Fuck Photoshop! I hate it, and I am a pro!
