From Genisis 1-5 God created Time. Before that time wasn't.

The "earth" refers to matter. "Heavens" is a reference to space and time. "Water" is the basis for life.
It's not talking about Planet Earth or it wouldn't have been "without form" and why would he create planets before he's organized.
"Light" refers to more than just solar rays.
These terms are vague on purpose.

I do not see what you do in the passage. There is no hint of chaos being present in forming the Earth. God is God and he can form light from nothing. I follow your teachings but other commentarys do not mention your assumptions.

I think you are putting too much into it. You can take any verse and dissect it into anything. Jesus died for us and that is what matters. If i was a beginner this may keep me from reading the bible because too complex.

I believe my brother Is missing the point, he just explained the heaven and the earth was created, remember God created the heaven and the earth out of nothing first, now God is going to to design His creation he created, and God is telling you how he's creating His creation, the young man is saying nothing can be made out of nothing, but how did it get here then, how did anything get here then, God had to create out of nothing, or there wouldn't be anything here that Is made, God started to tell you that the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the the face of the deep, when God created the heaven and the earth now He's forming the earth and the heavens, I know my young brother trying to explain In his own understanding, but you cannot do that, you have to have the spirit of God upon you, in order to explain the scriptures, so I don't agree what he's trying to explain but may God be with him, to give him complete knowledge of the word, may God be with him..Peace my little brother In christ..🙏✌️

If you notice the chaos in our life, if we pray and ask God to take it, He does. It may not be as quick as we want, but He does when the time is right. He's just putting everything in place first. Wow, this made sense. He's giving us all the details in the first part of the bible.

The point you are missing is that Gen 1 refers to the 2nd earth age, that's why the earth became void after the Catapult of the 1st earth age.

I cannot disagree more with this interpretation and leaves the creation open to atheistic world views. The statement that God did not create from nothing is false. It nullifies the first verse which clearly states in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. If He did not create the earth it begs the question where did it come from.....so to add further to this lets look at another part of the Bible which starts with the same first three words, John 1. In the beginning was the word.....All things were made by Him and was not anything mafe that was made. I can then give a bonus here. If you furthe read the chapter indicating the Word was with God and was God....in Him was life and the life was the light of men......John was sent to bear witness of the light. So who was the light and the Word that John bear witness to. It was Jesus, who was there in the beginning...the Word was with God and the word was God. So in Genesis you have God the father, God the Son and the Spirit of God was upon the face of the deep. The Trinity. Yes God can create from nothing just by the power of hos word, as was the case with light.

What causes you to interpret this passsage to mean God did not create out of nothing?
Did the earth that was formless and void exist from eternity past?
Or are you one who believes there was a previous creation that was destroyed, and we live in the remade version of it?
What is in this passage that forms your view?

Do "in the beginning" refer to Jesus ?

I really dig the way that you "clarify" the first five verses, but completely miss the fact that light must already have been present in order to determine the "formless and void" condition of the Earth. This is emphasised by the phrase " ... darkness was upon the face of the deep ...". How does one distinguish one area of darkness from another if there is no light - because God only calls it into existence the NEXT verse! And don't give me any bushwhack about "background radiation", because that occupies the invisible spectrum. Also desist from saying that it's "God's glory", because it means that He can switch it on and off at will and would have dispensed with it after He'd made the sun, because it was no longer needed, so that the only living organisms that ever experienced this 'glory" were the plants! What was that supposed "first" light written about in verse 2, what was its nature and what became of it once its illumination became redundant?
Get a copy of the Mechanical Translation, which is free of all religious hocus pocus and read the book in its original form. You will be in for a shock!

You keep saying that destruction and chaos so where did this came from? Bible teaches the death came into existence because of the sin of Adam and all the destruction and Chaos followed. So you up talkin about chaos death and destruction even before Adam was made? How is that possible

Can you explain why Aaron, with his weak explanation for making the golden calf, wasn't punished with the other sinners? His explanation/statement that they asked him to do it was lame. Yes, they asked, but he didn't seem to put up much of a fight. Why was he not punished?

Conversely, I'm afraid of deep dark waters. Always have been. Its been here since the beginning of creation. Even during the flood, there's no mention of sea life being destroyed. You made a mistake verse 1 tells you that God created the Earth so He was working with Nothing 😅

We are told in Genesis 1.27-" So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." But when we look up the words "male" and 'female" in this passage in a Hebrew Bible we do not find "ish" and "isha,' isha," as used in other passages, but we do find zakar and nekebah," which mean in Syrian language "sword" and "sheath," or piercer and womb. There is no mention of male and female more than is indicated in the relation of sword to sheath.
The six nights/months/signs represent the period when the sword in in the sheath. This is the formless and void aka the reed sea (Yam Surph).
Separation takes place at the spring equinox (morning) when they are separated and "creation" begins. The "creation" is the six days/months aka period of crop growth and harvest. This is modified when the six days are expanded to seven days (months).

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God created the earth from nothing and then proceeded to create further designs from the earth which God created from nothing. Trying to elaborate and assign meanings by associations you deem to have meaning and relationship enters you into the realm of guessing. When LOGOS (Word) walked the Garden, God and Jesus were there. YOU and I were not, so instead of wasting time, go straight to the last Commandment Jesus gave to those who are his and reborn. Be obedient, die to yourself, take up your cross everyday, and go work the Harvest until the Harpazo. By deciding to ignore the Master's commands, you place your own life and mind away from being obedient to Jesus.

In Hebrews, the language clarifies that God is creating stuff from nothing.
