With dark souls 2 the choice at the end kinda does matter if you collect the four crowns, because they allow you to be free from the undead curse and thus break free from this cycle entirely

Thirty seconds in, mere moments after the intro, you were already wrong. The beginning was not fog and dragons. Then thirty seconds later you say Gwyn killed himself to restoke the flame. Which is wrong. He sacrificed himself in order to link the flame in the first place.

Then right after that you say that if you don't light the flame and let it burn out in game someone else will come along and relight it. Dead wrong. Once it's out, it's out. The cycle is only permanent as long as someone keeps linking the flame. If you choose to let the flame die, the cycle ends. So in 90 seconds you make 4 statements and 3 are completely wrong.
