I'm pretty sure that the new villager changes are still experimental ones, so they might not apply if you just upgrade to 1.20.2. Not sure if it's possible to toggle the experimental features in older worlds.

There is a natural erosion on the lower right of that mountain that is perfectly designed for a nether portal when you get building here!

"totem of undying might help with fighting a warden" might? you can easily burn through an entire shulker box of totems trying to fight a warden even in netherite gear.

Pix, the stacked zombification used to be a thing on Bedrock, just to clarify your confusion. The update has removed it sadly, though

@Pixlriffs Hi there! I'm sure you're busy and probably won't even see this, but I've left a few comments already about a research paper I'm doing in college. I'm exploring the subculture of Minecraft within a "field site," which I've chosen to be your channel. 

If you have the time to respond, I have a few questions: What inspired you to create your channel? Were you previously a Minecraft gamer and part of the Minecraft gaming community, or did that come after making your channel? How do commenters treat each other on your videos? Does the environment of the comment section change depending on the number of views/commenters? I've noticed videos with less interactions are more supportive/helpful while more popular videos are light-hearted/humorous.

I learned something interesting about Raids a few weeks back.

A while ago I captured a Raid Witch in order to build a de-zombification system. I tucked her away under the village in my curing center and she works fine.

After some time, I decided I wanted to do another Raid. I got it going and the raid bar immediately popped up to 1 enemy remaining. So, it seems that the raid members are flagged and counted even after the original raid times out.

I don't know if this is for all villages or just this one with the witch in it. I'll have to test this out. This happened in 1.19.

Looking forward to your village defense system! I always choose a hilly village for my base and surround it with a set of 3-wide water stream canals leading to 3x3 magma block killing pits. I need a double layer of fences inside the canal boundary to keep the golems away from pillager arrows. 5 blocks between the fence lines seems to work. I use that space for crops and bamboo. The only manual labor during a raid is to shoot witches in the magma pits with my bow because their potions protect them from the magma blocks.

if you set ur spawn on top of leaves wouldn't you just spawn at spawn chunks? since leaves are transparent

Wow, you went quite far for that outpost. There's one not that far north if you take a boat along the coast behind the cherry mountain. Maybe 1,000 blocks or so right by a ruined portal. But you found that mountain with the epic dripstone valley in front.

Note that Wattles has a very easy to build raid farm for 1.20 that you can lava cast on an ocean.

Few things are scarier in Minecraft when you think you’re safe from a revenger only to have them pathfinder up a tree to get you

If your going for a max level raid, going for the patrol captains can actually be faster than waiting for 5 captains to spawn in the outpost tower. The patrol captains will give you a random level of bad omen, and that will stack with the previous one just like the ones from the outpost

The villager be like: Want some bread? Haha, just kidding!

Can you turn an Outpost into a Pillager farm?

it's worth noting, if you're on bedrock edition, raids are VERY easy, at least in comparison to java edition, you can get enchanted iron tools, enchanted books and a lot of emeralds (unless of course they changed that in bedrock) I used to farm them early game for pretty solid iron gear + fortune pickaxes and looting swords

huh, i didn't know the villagers themselves actively used the bell during raids

I love the survival guide. Every major update is my first time playing the game 😊

Since i haven't seen other comments on it, worth noting that Bedrock Edition doesn't have multiple levels of bad omen.

I actually did my first raid a day before this video was made! It was on hard difficulty so it was a bit of a nightmare but I managed to get 3 totems!

Just for information, it used to work the same way for villagers Discount on Bedrock edition, and it's been nerfed as well !!

The Iron Golem has your back. Help your buddy out by bringing iron ingots to the fight, and use them to heal the Golem between waves.

At one time ringing the village bell made pillagers become outlined and glow

Quick tip: carry a bucket of milk or honey bottles with you while fighting a raid party. Both can cure poisoning, milk can remove the slowness effect as well as far as I know :)

Just a word of advice, while in a raid, if you can't find some raiders, ringing the village bell should highlight the raiders for a little while, making them easier to find!

Great job with that raid, I rarely instigate them so I forgot a lot of the details. Also I always forget to set my spawn point before a big raid which is terribly frustrating 😊
