I wish they featured the back courtyard that was so prominent in Prisoner of Azkaban. It was such a dreamy, witchy, whimsical place that looked like the indoor elements (arches, columns, etc.) were left outside with the plants 😍

She's a bit ignorant in being an un-empathetic American of the nuance use the British imagination. It's all plausible. Does she understand HP is set in the 1990s and Hogwarts is 1000yrs old?
Her knowledge is large, her yet this video is not fun. It's presented in a too "matter of fact" tone.

I find it funny that you talk about all these popular mid evil English architectural features but to be historically accurate to the area Hogwarts should have been made to look more like something built in mid evil Scotland cause that’s where the castle is

I think wizards are so ahead of muggles that it just makes sense that their architecture would be from different eras. Also, Hogwarts has to be defensive against attacks but wizards also fight differently than muggles thus the windows. Instead of shooting bows and arrows they might fly out the window on their broom :)

Tapestries, beautiful, practical and * expensive *. Henry VIII's gift of tapestry to his second wife cost the same as building a battleship of his era (the tapestry in the dining room he and she used at that time).

They didn't put holes in the tapestry to hang the paintings. They are hung from chains which are anchored above the tapestry. Look closer. This is how paintings are hung in British palaces too.

Your section on the great hall is inaccurate. Take a look at the 4 Inns of court for the school of law. The great hall is largely reminiscent of Middle Temple and Lincolns Inn specifically. Down to the window, raised professorial platform, throne, coloring, double barrel ceiling. Middle Temple , Lincolns Inn Blue, Gray's Inn, and Inner Temple.

Apparently when they shot the second film in Gloucester cathedral, they didn't tell anyone they were going to flood the corridor, and the water ended up removing the patina of 700 years of continuous occupation. (The cathedral is nearly 1000 years old but that part is C14th
