I mean, you can use all the devices connected to the switch at once.

I did this and my TV which is connected to the switch does not detect the ethernet connection, even though it works fine directly connected to the router. I did make sure to use the correct port on the switch to connect to the router.

Well my problem is different, I have several open ethernet ports on my router, but my room is so far from it so I have two 100ft cables that go into my room through my whole house (PC and PS5). I want to reduce the cables to just one 100ft cable from the router to my room. And also so I can connect more devices since I have several small cables.
