Why is it I’ve known Steve Millers’ music since I was a kid but I have never heard this song before?

In 1967, I was a freshman at a private boys high school in Los Angeles. The Senior Class was always responsible for a huge blowout dance at the end of the year. Somehow they wrangled Steve Miller and his band to play at my high schools' dance!! CRAZY now when ya think about it....

So many people will have no idea that this is Steve Miller. His later songs were great and very popular obviously, but while everyone remembers this song, it’s the only big song of his that’s never associated with his name

Luv that harmonica in these jams like John Lennon played in early Beatle songs. I think Billy Joel was one of the last to incorporate harmonica in song. Living in a plastic land is right especially right now with everything that’s going on.
