Cat thief claws his way to the lead. Dude was a gem of a race caller.
ОтветитьGary Stevens just committed a felony and Tom Hammond we have it on Video.......................................................Absolutely awesome!
ОтветитьI forgot how impressive Inside Information was that day
ОтветитьI forgot how impressive Inside Information was that day
Ответить🎉
ОтветитьApparently Tom's coming out of retirement this year. Very hyped!
ОтветитьTom Durkin… so good.
Frankly, it’s him and Trevor Denman as the top race callers of all time… everyone else is a deeply distant third
Need to add 2007 Belmont !!!!
ОтветитьTiznow wins it for America!
I get chills every time I hear that call. We needed a victory that year.
Don't count Flanders out yet pat day or pay day as we use to call him goes to work. Storm flag flying giving her all she is coming back. The heart of a champion. Winning colors personal ensign a dramatic finish
Ответить"The greatest comeback since Lazarus"
ОтветитьArazi will never not give me chills
ОтветитьEasy Goer was better. Damn Day. And Cigar, just get your kleenex! Tom Durkin was a genius far beyond the BC. And Tiznow, omg. I was at the 1st BC, and Slew O' Gold SHOULD have won!! Maybe the steward in Kentucky would have been correct here!!!
ОтветитьIt's da hoss in da mile, what a great call
ОтветитьGadungum, Gary, why did you have to float Silver Charm out 6 paths in deep stretch and let Awesome Again by?
ОтветитьIt hurts me still that dettori completely blew it by whipping and whipping his horse who was a no lock winner while awesome again comes charging
ОтветитьSo many great ones, but that late run from My Flag was one of my favorites- what a closer!
ОтветитьStevens probably never rode a better race but had his pocket picked by Personal Ensign. Gary was peerless when it came to setting fractions.. A human stop watch really
ОтветитьSome great horses
ОтветитьRequired video if on the way to the OTB!!
ОтветитьI need to go cash (period)
ОтветитьGod, Tom Durkin was AWESOME.
ОтветитьSUNDAY SILENCE!!!!!!
Ответить“Tiznow tough as nails!”
Ответитьunderrated call is from the same 1984 breeders cup where Tom Durkin said "'A champion is crowned, it's Chief's Crown"
ОтветитьTom Durkin was the best.
Ответить1984-2014
ОтветитьThis is the greatest comeback since LAZARUS.
Awesome!!
Theatrical is Game
ОтветитьA Gray Blurr
ОтветитьA Colossal Victory!
ОтветитьAWESOME AGAIN WINS IT!
ОтветитьWaquoit is TANACIOUS. great.
Ответить84 and 85 calls for Gate Dancer are classics!
ОтветитьI was at Santa Anita when Arcangues upset the Classic. Back then you could just walk up to the gate on Breeders. Back then then you could go on race day buy a ticket and get in. Jerry Bailey was just coming into his own and many weren’t even sure on how to pronounce the horse’s name. The best race that day was Phone Chatter and Music Merci battling the whole stretch all the way to the wire.
I was at Belmont for Tiznow’s epic victory and call. 911 had just occurred the.month before so there was a lot of healing going on still and Ground Zero still hadn’t been cleaned up yet. Sakheed definitely deserves more credit. Kept in training after his win the Arc and his first run on dirt. Pretty gutsy performance in defeat.
You can see Flanders breaking down , and still not stopping , both her and Serena got vanned off that day ,
Ответить"This is the greatest comeback since Lazarus".......perfection!
ОтветитьI can't believe you don't have the 1988 Breeders Cup Turf with Great Communicator going wire to wire-the smallest Horse with the biggest HEART "Unyielding! Great Communicator will not be denied!".
ОтветитьDA HOSS COMES BACK!
ОтветитьThe two derby winners, hit the wire together!!
ОтветитьI didn't realize how good Durkin was. I appreciate him now.
Ответить"TIZ NOW tuff as nails"
"Coming into the final furlong, SUNDAY SILENCE surges to the front"....Ole Tommy D the G.O.A.T. U will be missed...
Damn shame how in his later years he degenerated into a shrieking banshee.
ОтветитьTwo races comes to mind. The One Dreamer front running win at 42-1 had me happy as this was a great day for me. But a few years later I wagered with two fist on Hawkley Hills as I watched in disbelief as Da Hoss shoved it right up my butt. Oh the memories...lol
