back here as a coincidence. Great piece of content: feelings, brain, humor. It has everything.

Back in the day, I would collect just about any game. After my house burned down and I lost over 900 games and 17 consoles, I decided that the only retro system I really gave a shit about was snes. I'm a modern gamer also. I also don't but games just to fill a collection. I have very few sports games. I have earthbound, demons crest, everything from square, tent, wild guns, those types of games.

This was hands down one of my favourite episodes! Everything you said was spot on and my two all time fav 16bit games are a link to the past and super Metroid. Masterpieces!

I personally prefer the Genesis. There is no question the SNES was superior in terms of at least colors and sounds.

The Genesis always impressed me with the scrolling and parallax scrolling. They loved using those techniques.

In the end it all comes down to what you had lol. I was Genesis all the way cause that's what I had.

However game wise and anyone can argue all they want. The Snes had some absolutely awesome game's.

The Genesis had a ton a of game's that I personally love. I prefer Road rash 2 and 3, NBA jam tournament edition blew the snes version out of the water. I know this is not a popular opinion but Sonic 3 with sonic and knuckles in my opinion is actually better than Super Mario world.

Personally for me the high points of the Snes were Super Metroid , Mortal Kombat 2, and a link to the past.

I was not a huge rpg fan but I would pit Shining force 2 against Final Fantasy 4 and 6.

Both 16 bit consoles are absolutely legendary and I love having all my sega game's on my switch now.

Nintendo games came with a clear cap that slipped over the end. You could also buy seperate Nintendo labeled plastic game holder cases.

No matter what camp you belong to, nobody can deny that the competition made the game industry better. Sega pushed the console and arcade hardware and Nintendo pushed game design.

looks more like grown man fan of one console made conclusion that best is what he thought in childhood.
Haven't any of these, but did not understood which one actually is better.
Looks more that games where made diff not the console problem for me.

I had a Sega Genesis but when I went over my older cousins house that has a super NES I noticed the games were better for example I played lion king and mortal Kombat on my Sega but it wasn't the same as playing it on super

So yes super Nintendo was better

I like the video a lot, though I think James is maybe a little hard on the Genesis at times--it came out two years before the SNES, so of course the hardware is going to lag slightly behind, and there's certain information he omits, like that the Genesis' SVP chip (used in Virtua Racing) was more powerful than the SNES' Super FX chip, or that the 32x had an excellent port of Virtua Fighter which offsets Killer Instinct in the fighting department. Also, objectively, Genesis had better beat 'em ups!

The majority of the sega releases were trash. Super Nintendo had the better game catalog overall. Disney's Aladdin on Sega was superior over Nintendo buts thats it.

Well only time told us the truth. I was always a Nintendont player. And to this day it is still well known around the world. Sega? Is now apart of Nintendont. What a wonderful world.

Everytime he says Super Nintendo he says Super Etendo, like the way youd say it when you were a kid… but not when he just says Nintendo. Ive seen this video a few times through the years but never noticed it until tonight.

I had both, and we almost never touched the Nintendo unless it was an exclusive game

I had both i played a lot more genesis than snes outside mario i thought genesis had better controler couldn't beat that 6 button Especially when it came to the fighting games the nes was on whole another level though i. My opinion nothing will ever beat the nes but snes or genesis give me genesis every day of the week
