That joke at the end that she "sounds hideous". You wonder if a commercial could even make that joke today. I could see complaints that it's anti trans.

And that’s how Jake from State Farm was born!

Imagine, a world. Where, instead of the sanitized modern character, we got this guy constantly getting swept up in the weird shenanigans of people who are trying to get insurance.

Know what, doesn't even need to be this guy, could just be any random employee character.

This commercial comes in second place of all time. "Where's the beef"? still is #1 in my opinion.

"What are you wearing Jake from Statefarm??"

the 1 and only JAKE from state farm, not the wash down BLM version jake. I just loved how state farm just replaces the original JAKE to fit/go with the times by pulling a blanket over everyone's eyes and the world that cried systemic BS was not able to catch that.
So I laugh very hard when I hear BLM jake on the radio/tv.

It's crazy to think how a lot of kids in gen alpha will grow up thinking the new Jake from Statefarm we have now is the original one.

This is a real rip off for the OG Jake from State Farm, what a shame, what they could do is that would be brilliant is have Jakes from State Farm, have both of them.
Progressive stuck with Flo from Progressive, and they added at least 5 more people.
Toyota kept the girl for their commercials even when she was pregnant.
But State Farm screwed over the real Jake From State Farm.

This commercial is up there with the FedEx commercial where the boss holds an urgent meeting about cutting costs and does the hand slice movement.

I hate how they tried to bring it back because it became a meme... Worst part is that it's not even the real Jake! It's Fake from State Farm! Also the new commercials are annoying as f***. Just go back to making funny commercials again.

It is August of 2023. I just was talking to my wife about this commercial and naturally...I ended up here. This is some of the best writing for a commercial, at least in the USA. 🤣

This brings back so many memories. I always enjoyed seeing this commercial. Those were the good old days. Where commercials/ads weren’t filled with obnoxiously loud music and were actually funny.
