Wow such beautiful loches! And the algae actually looks good in the fish tank! 👍
ОтветитьAnother wonderful job, Dave!
ОтветитьI've a similar method of winding small bits and bobs of such unwanted vegetation.
I use a Zwickey Judo Head on an arrow shaft.
Stop copying me, The Dave!!
The Dave: Which model/size Co-op. Powerheads in there?
What's your opinion?
How are the butterflies doing? I love ecosystem tanks.

OMG, Dave! This is bio-art! You're an artist, helping nature be itself. Great, great work as always.🐳🐳

I love these guys! I would try them if they didn’t need a lid.
ОтветитьGreat video. I love the look of the tank both ways. Awesome fish. Thanks for sharing

ОтветитьThese lil guys are so cute
ОтветитьSuch great fish
ОтветитьIncredible and inspiring!
ОтветитьI have a big male and a small female. The male is very territorial and chases her all the time. Should I get another female? I am afraid that the situation will be worse 😳
ОтветитьI let my 3 foot 23 gallon tank go crazy with green hair algae and it developed green hair algae balls all around the bottom it was the coolest thing!
ОтветитьScuds will keep the beautiful algae under control. 👍 I have watched this tank before it's so awesome!
ОтветитьThat alot of algae😂
I would recommend adding Vallisneria since you have a strong flow.
How old are your loaches that they are able to be mature enough to breed?
Im craving cotton candy all of a sudden
ОтветитьYeh. I let my tanks go too.
ОтветитьIt is definitely common to see this in nature itself.
ОтветитьNot some will be brown, in two generations most will be either brown or clear.
ОтветитьAlways love your videos, thanks The Dave 💖
ОтветитьHow long would you say it takes the babies to grow? I had a couple captive bred loaches for a year and a half ish that barely grew at all before I had to rehome them and their tank.
ОтветитьI love the tank covered in algae and I love it cleaned up! You have quite a colony of Hillstreams there and they look amazing 🥰
ОтветитьDo they squabble?
ОтветитьHillstreams are my favorite loaches. They're so derpy-cute!
ОтветитьGuga? Is that you?? Steaks getting boring?
ОтветитьNormalize 👏 keeping 👏 algae!👏
ОтветитьHillstream loaches choir is singing: " o blessed Dave who let us grazing on green pastures " 🎶🎶
Amazing aquarium. Before removing algae it has looked more natural, more beautiful. It's good Idea to provide less light. Algae should grow slower and hillstream loaches may prefer dimmed light too (like pleco do).
Where is trumpet snail with his green pom pom ? 😆 Already in Moulin Rouge?
Fantastic job
ОтветитьBeautiful fish ! ! ! Loaches have some of the best personality especially Hillstream Loaches.
ОтветитьI think the manicured, super clean planted tanks are nice and all, but the more naturalistic style appeals to me a lot more. Algae growth goes a long way to make the tank look more "lived-in", and it matches the natural habitat of the stream/creek dwelling fish a lot better.
Ответитьit is indeed........epic.
ОтветитьThat's a really beautiful and natural looking tank, before and after the clean-up. The fish obviously enjoy it too, which is what we want. Thanks Dave!
ОтветитьLovely! I have over 100 tetra, barbs, snails and amanos in my hillstream breeding tank. I started with 4 about 5 months ago, now well over 20 in the tank.
The neocarodina shrimp got eaten by the fish although the loaches seem to be safe
Aweseome. And fwiw this vid was the perfect length for my mood today
ОтветитьAnother amazing video, Dave, I like the look of the green algae but mine starts green then turn black and never into green hair algae, not sure what gives? :/
ОтветитьAlways a great day when there's a new Dave video to watch!
ОтветитьYESSSS add shrimp!
ОтветитьGeorge farmer❌
Algae farmer✅
😂😂😂
Such a cool tank! I love it when the fish breed naturally and there's always new fish. I have that happening in my shell dweller tank, but maybe another one wouldn't be so bad? ... 😬
ОтветитьWhat a gorgeous tank, I’ve debated adding hill streams to my community because they’re just so cool looking. That’s a very happy tank you have there :)
ОтветитьCool tank! Did you think about adding a small powerhead to make more flow? I think the algae will look much better when moving with the flow and loaches will appreciate a more natural habitat! For example like in your recent darter video. Also i think that natural neocaridinas will look better then colourful ones in this setup(or any setup)
I too like implementing a more natural look in my tanks. I'm planning to upgrade my 15 gallon reef tank to 40 gallon one and will keep strog flow with strong light and a lot of algaes and some corals, just as i've seen in a wild(except for corals)
Now that is epic..😮
ОтветитьBeige catshark/Dichichthys bigus
ОтветитьThis is my dream tank! Love these guys.
