When you compute SOLIDWORKS Simulation studies on 2D simplified versions of 3D models, you can reduce the analysis time. For axisymmetric models, a 2D projection of the model is sufficient to fully represent the 3D model. In this tutorial, you compute the 2D simplification nonlinear stress analysis of an axisymmetric bolt and nut assembly and display the stress results on the 2D model.
