You are wrong there is a channel cat the one you call blue cat is only a Male channel the female is the one you call channel. The proof is easy just go noodling and you will always find a blue and a channel cat in the nest now why wouldn't you find two blues or two channels? I have groped hundreds of pairs on the nest and always the same results a blue Male and a channel female full of eggs.

My best one is cheery Kool-aid chicken and garlic salt mix it all up and let it marinate overnight. I’ve notice that channel catfish like the stinky stuff.

Sounds crazy but McDonald’s chicken nuggets work reallllly well. Cooked in all that deep fry oil I cut the ends off and use bait string always works.

Bluegill guts… Best catfish bait I have ever used. Pantyhose pouch wrapped over a large hook fastened with a small zip tie. Pop the hook through the pouch so the curved pointy part of the hook is exposed. I don’t recommend trying to use more than two poles. One will keep you busy. Have fun! 😁

best bait i ever found was when i went to the grocery store and saw some calamari that was in the sell now bin, so i bought it and left it outside for a few days. cats L O V E D it, and the squid is rubbery enough to stay on the hook really well.

I live on a Bluecat & Flathead full creek. Cut Shad is the best.. or cut Mullet/ Bluegill out of my pond.
Stink baits, etc? Never had any luck & I've tried while catching cats with cut Shad. I'm also in SE Texas. Stay away from Stinks baits. Large Night Crawlers are great also

I have never caught any thing on stink baits, I catch fish all the time. So? Basically the promoter who pays you for stink baits is pulling your leg. Just saying that your channel is b.s

I use beef liver it's a lot harder for the fish to get off then useing chicken liver it's also alot more bloodyer so leaves a great sent trail

When I was a kid in the early 90s, we used to go river fishing for Blues and Flatheads in the summer. A couple days before the trip, we would spend a day fishing for Creek Chub Minnows, and that night we would spend a night catching Leopard Frogs. I liked catching Blues, and swore by the Chubs. My Grandpa liked catching Flats and swore by the frogs. Nice to know all those years before internet we were pretty spot on lol

There's no way you can get a better bait for channels than a live big creek chub and another thing there is no such thing as a blue or channels they are the same thing I have groped hundreds of pairs of catfish under rocks and logs in the rivers and there's always a Chennal and a so called blue in that nest the channel is the female and the blue is the Male cut them open and see which one has the eggs in it Male always watches the eggs and that's a fact I've done this for fifty years always the same channel and blue on the nest!!!!!!!!

Dried Chicken liver with garlic powder and strawberry koolaid packet shook up in a bag or night crawlers works great for channel cats. Blue cats shad or skipjacks. Flat heads worms or other live bait crawfish works really well for catfishing and bass.

I just have a question wouldn't it be safe to say that since the big ones are called cat fish so would baby cat fish be called kitten fish!?!?
