Some credit should go to Maestro Romanillos here. What remarkable instruments and equally remarkable ascent to the top of of guitar building from humble origins. What a glorious partnership by these top artists! What hands, what hearts! The best artistry from the symbiotic worlds of musicianship and wood working. Thank you both for the inspiration.

Nocturnal is my favorite from this program. Absolutely stunning.
If the matter is barock and romantic epoches, he is the best one we had..RIP master Bream.
EVERY note is spot on. How? You can watch a million interpretations, but he nails it.
Breathtaking, unsurpassed
My guitar hero!❤🎵🎶☀️🙏
You will always in our soul
Rest in Peace ❤❤❤
Our Maestro. ❤❤❤
One of my two favourite guitarists of all time. It's so wonderful that we still have his amazing performances to enjoy.
Not as good as peo kindgren sorry🎉
Did not know Bach's Fugue included "Matt's Trumpet" advertising.
Ответитьsuch an eloquent genius.
Gran guitarrista del mundo, descanses en paz
No rest there. He's on the go all the time
Isn't it just lovely to hear a great, unedited performance, where studio engineers haven't disinfected every sound by removing extraneous noises and inserting notes where the original recording is seen as substandard? Julian's playing of the BWV998 Prelude is superb and I'm sure that this is more like the tempo that Bach would have intended (I'm not keen on the lyrical but painfully slow approach by many modern guitarists).
What beautiful sounds to melt your soul
Julian Bream was without a doubt a great guitarist and musician . However to say he was the greatest guitarist of all times is a gross overstatement . Andres Segovia’s poetic expression far exceeds ANYONE past or present . His beauty of tone far exceeds Bream’s - no comparison . I would certainly urge anyone here in disagreement to simply listen to Bream and Segovia playing the same piece .
Breams performances… Tremendous
Segovia’s… Inspirational
UN GRAN GUITARRISTA Y UN ARTISTA CONSUMADO
Good movie title, dilighted tourted man
Gosh that Bach fugue is such an endurance slog for the left hand. I feel like I need physiotherapy after practicing it.
Ответитьwish id met him
Thank the proverbial 'Lord' for Sound Recording.
Bream is gone now, but we still can hear his Skill.
Consider the Masters before Recording.
With little to entertain except Practice, all that Talent lost with them in time.
Science and Music or irrevocably tied together.
.
I not really qualified to pass knowledge or construction to this forum but so lovely to listen too thanks for the post it makes my listening extremely richer
A magnificent guitarist!! Rest In Peace
It took me a multi track to do what this Maestro does on His own.
Paint me green with jealousy.
Back in 1978 at the time this recording was made I was going to gigs by the Sex Pistols etc. Today I am watching this. How tastes change!
Shiny new Romanillos.
Absolutely the cleanest play I have ever heard.
From the first time that I heard him play Vivaldis concerto on the guitar I’ve been mesmerized by Julian . He always plays on the tempo and each phrase is infused with emotion and consummate thought . Watch his masterclasses . What work and effort he gave to each piece and phrase . Segovia was a bit disdainful of his playing because he occasionally grimaces . For me he is the most moving musician .
Esencia de España
One of the best I've every heard with feeling technique and emotional atom splitting..
I would say to anyone who is critical of Bream's performances - if you are a guitarist (as I am), get up there and give it a try, you can only know what an accomplished musician this man was if you have had the experience of trying to express yourself through this incredibly challenging music.
Did we copy segovia...paco...
Sublime <3 <3 <3
Superb.
Silly boy, you should have plugged into a icm45 and your sustain problems would be gone forever.
How dare you put a commercial right in the middle of the Bach. So rude and inappropriate. Fck your profits!
Villa-Lobos Brasil
Wonderful. Britten though - guy could've used a melody infusion and a bag of Maltesers.
