Mildly confused about one thing, does the 3 pursue success specifically for the glory of it, to be seen as better and be praised, or does a 3 type pursue success to just feel like they are better than others, regardless if there is any praise or glory attached to it?
ОтветитьFather: You are a mistake.
3: I have God, he loves me.
Father: No, you are suppose to earn my love so you can go on a journey and build your character for the sake of the plot.
3: Nah, I will create a cult.
Father: So you chose the villain path!
I thought a video about 3 meant I'd be safe as a 4 but noooo, you had to dissect the heart types in general 😭 great video as always!!! but how dare you sdmjsadj
ОтветитьWhat enneagram is miles morales in spiderverse 2?
ОтветитьGreg Heffley does that reputation ruining redemption you mentioned at the end
ОтветитьSuperiority Complex can exist or did the diagnostic clinicians rework their idea of a "grandiose narcicist"? Based on a populations mean one can simply want too much - defining it as "superiority-complex" might still work out. It is connected to not wanting to feel "not-superior" since that is what the person wants.

Ответить@localscriptman , I have been doing Enneagram shit since the 90s. I have won many writing awards and I just have to tell you . . . You're kinda hitting the nail on the head with these analogies. You're gonna make it last kid. I believe in you.
I challenge you to eventually go back around the horn with other examples you have picked out . . . I have a perfect 9 for you. "To Sir, With Love (1968)" James Clavell was the screenwriter.
Isn't that ultimate 3 growth moment basically deceit? The "never telling anyone the truth" part
Ответитьpsychprofile AI fixes this. Writing with the Enneagram: Type 3
ОтветитьIs Jaime Lannister the story of a 3 who redeemed himself by doing the right thing, ruining his reputation, and then seeing how his new identity, his redemption, has made him miserable?
ОтветитьI've been watching and taking notes on these videos for narrative/screenwriting purposes but I've also been keeping track of my own enneagram fixation on the side and it's really hard to nail it down for me because every new video that comes out I'm like "that is so me, I'm such a 5" "that is so me, I'm such a 4" and now going through this video I'm like "that is so me, I'm such a 3" SO WHICH ONE IS IT HUH CARSON??? Idk and does it really matter? I'm not here to grow as a person, I'm here to grow as a writer
ОтветитьI just wonder what your enneagram is ..
Ответитьi really hope after you finish this series, that you continue with describing the subtypes! you’re so informative and knowledgable, that it would be incredibly helpful to talk more about it :) especially since the types often get misinterpreted with countertypes in enneagram
ОтветитьYo Local Script Man, I've been trying to wrap my head around writing characters for some rp/Dnd based stuff and your analysis on the Enneagram has been really helpful on setting out layouts for backstory crafting. For that I'd like to say thank you.
I had a video idea for you since I've been pondering about characters and the Enneagram. Why don't you make a series were you watch a show/anime and categorise people in enneagram types... perhaps even in a tier list format since I am sure that might catch on well with the algorithm.
I'm SUCH a three wtf
Ответитьthis is the smartest content i've seen on the enneagram, both from a character building and human psychoanalysis lens, to the point where i've been locked in a monthlong obsession fueled by your videos. so uhhh thanks for your freakishly insightful awareness of both people and storytelling
Ответитьhold up, Lelouch vi Brittania is the fully redeemed 3 arc???
ОтветитьThis is literally just describing narcissistic personality disorder
ОтветитьDefinitely love this series, also funny that people use it as a personality type quiz bullshit. Im going through all these like "hey is that me?" to every single one.
ОтветитьBest for last baby. Number 1 in the number 1 💪😎
ОтветитьThank you, that helps
ОтветитьWhere annagramme 2
ОтветитьI just found the playlist and finished it in the same day. I need 2 and 1 so bad right now. This is one of the most interesting subjects I've stumbled across in a really really long time.
ОтветитьPT Burnam in The Greatest Showman is a perfect 3
ОтветитьWatched every video on enneagram 9 to 3, and after every one I've got a "that's-a me" feeling
Ответитьim going to have to watch every single thing you mentioned in this video, not only for the type 3 chacter examples, but also because all these movies/series look amazing lol
Ответитьalso I NEED THE NEXT TWO VIDEOS IMMEDIATELY, WHERE ELSE AM I GOING TO GET A HOLISTIC MODEL OF HOW TO WRITE CHARACTERS AND THEIR MOTIVATIONS BASED ON INNER TRAUMA
ОтветитьME HERE WAITING FOR MY TYPES TO SHOW UP IN THE SERIES
ОтветитьSooo uhhh yesterday, I had a mental breakdown because I got a background character in my dance auditions. I was beating myself up even though it was literally my first audition and first year at the studio ever. And today I found out I’m a type 3 so that fits well😭
Ответитьso I have a question.
If the enneagram describes a person's core desire, and also represents the most toxic underlying part of who they are, aka how they need to grow, does this mean that the, for lack of a better word, most grown person would have no core desires? like Jesus or Chuck Norris
I'm anticipating a few possible answers:
1 they would only have extra-personal desires i.e. for others and not themselves (not sure how that might look for 1's...)
2 perhaps is a desire (or desires) beyond the enneagram that are healthy/virtuous in nature, a state of enlightenment if you will
3 I am misreading the videos and in fact the enneagram does not describe the roots of all human desires, just a type of them or something
4 the idea of the perfect human is clearly outing me as a 5 and life is a constant series of change that can never actually be 100%
the idea of the enneagram starts to just break down for me if the whole point is why people do things but at the same time its also always what they need change/stop wanting. like once they have overcome that... why do they wanna do stuff... (this does not make sense for most characters, except Frodo)
I've never been more excited for a video in my entire life (the one for 2s)
Ответитьantonio salieri
ОтветитьWhere are types 1 and 2?? Literally crying and shaking rn
ОтветитьI DON'T HAVE ANYONE TO TELL ABOUT THIS! DISCORD WHEN???
ОтветитьJust two more enneagram types left!
ОтветитьBut how do you gain self-esteem without working towards bettering yourself, and being the best version of yourself? God I relate to this too much. Makes sense why I'm drawn to the characters that I am.
What I'm currently writing might actually be a romance between two 3's, they don't stay together, but it's a ride.
Now do 2
Ответитьnah this is so off bro, you're mixing up 3 and 4 in some parts, "starting off from a place of shame and lacking" is so so4, what happens is that 3s grow up being praised for what they achieve and gain for themselves, and 4s grow up feeling like they aren't getting any praise and attention at all and internalize it as something being wrong with them, so4s are mentally distressed for not living up to social ideals so at healthier levels they will try to earn it, and at unhealthier levels they just think they could never get it and give up, so4 subtype is literally called "shame" for a reason
ОтветитьThank you for this. Will you be doing Enneagram 1 soon?
ОтветитьGreat video; great channel! Thank you.
ОтветитьI've watched many videos about the enneagram and no one explains them as straightforward as you do. I'm going to be watching all of these ❤
