All speculation, we will never know.
ОтветитьWasn’t just about slavery .. If so y was there blacks with weapons 🤨 why didn’t the freed slaves go back to Africa 🤨 bc fri and r ruthles
ОтветитьAs someone born and raised in Arkansas, I frequently wonder what my life would be like had the south won
ОтветитьAnd now the slave blood lines will hate white people forever and racism will never die. Good job Lincoln
ОтветитьI think we would eventually reconcile once slavery is eventually banned. Maybe they would band together in world war one, or maybe instead of Mexico getting the Zimmerman telegram it was sent to the south. What if the south then joined the war against the north? What if world war one is what forced the countries back together?
Ответитьthis should be a tv show like the man in the hight castle
ОтветитьThis is a really good question to ask those in the south
ОтветитьCsa will become a communist and the who world is under fire. Or there's a conspiracy that Karl Marx is from usa and his parents was a confederate citizen the reason why china and Russia wants to compete to the USA as a communist because the founder lives in confederate state.
ОтветитьIf the south would've won we would have had it made
ОтветитьFunny seems like us southerns are still going through it 2024 political corruption history repeating itself
ОтветитьThere would be way more racism but probably still the same amount of war crimes done internationally 😂
ОтветитьThe confederacy would have lasted if and only if The Europeans joined their side...Spain, France, Britain, Hell Even Prussia or Germany would have been enough to tip the balance...But no matter the south wouldn't become a great power
ОтветитьYes …. Yes I think slavery would have fallen out of favor in the South, or even abolished it. (But I don’t think it would have been all at once, like it was in 1865). I do wonder though … do you think they would deport the Blacks? And to the north? To California? To Mexico? To Haiti and the Caribbean? Or to Africa? I would like to see an alternative history where the free CSA tries to deport their Black population after it is obvious that slavery cannot be continued indefinitely
ОтветитьWhat if General Jackson hadn't died in 1863? What if He faced General Sherman in Georgia in 1864? Would he have routed Sherman's overstretched Army like he did with union forces in the Shenandoah valley in 1862? That would be a great civil war alternate history. Stonewall Jackson was the only American general to truly use Napoleonic tactics in the field, specifically the art of attacking in detail. A tactic that would've devastated Sherman's marauding forcing during his chaotic march to the sea.
ОтветитьI wish the south won, maybe these 13% monkeys wouldn't destroy our country
Ответить“Shieeeeeettt”
ОтветитьIf the South had won the civil war, there would have been no arsenal of democracy in 1940. We would all be under the Nazi thumb by now and I doubt that the south would have been happy by that.
ОтветитьThe south did win the war, starting at the conclusion of the 1876 election.
ОтветитьI honestly think that if the south won the Civil War, the southern economy would have boomed due to agriculture, and it wasn’t as much emphasis to get rid of slavery so eventually the abolitionist movement would have gain traction in popularity, which I had already been gaining traction and popularity. And I think that within 10 to 20 years slavery would have been abolished in the south. Civil rights would have followed sooner than our present and timeline due to the fact they’re not being animosity with the north that spilled over into the 20th century actually late into the 20th century. Up until recent times southern people always did things to spite Yankees. Had the south, when the Civil War the union economy would have tanked. Because it was based off of textiles that were produced from Southern cotton. The companies up north only paid pennies for cotton that was produced in the south. The only people actually making any money off of cotton grown down. Here was the wealthy plantations. They represent one percent of the entire southern population, but owned almost all the slaves. The rest were privately owned farms. That owned no slaves. Industry would have fled the north. They would’ve either going to Europe or to the south or maybe even West. The southern economy would have developed very fast. It would not be a superpower, but it would have been a well developed nation within 50 years. The north would not have come out of their little dark ages until probably around the 50s. What I think we would be like today is that there would be plenty of trade plenty of open travel between the confederate states in the union states. We may even have a summer currency to the euro. But the rest is hard to say that’s my prediction on how things would have progressed had the south won the Civil War.
ОтветитьSouth won easy
ОтветитьBritain was already anti slavery. The idea that they would have supported the confederacy is kind of dumb. Also the British would have returned any slaves they intercepted headed to the American South.
ОтветитьWe'd all be reading on a 3rd grade level?
ОтветитьIf CSA won, Nazi Germany would be around today.
ОтветитьI think World War I could have a different ending with no humiliation for Germany, what could mean that the WWII we all know never would have happened ?
ОтветитьAlthough I am fervently against slavery, the South did have a significant disadvantage when it came to their economy. Both sides had valid reasons to fight; but in the end, slavery and racism should not have a place in the world or exist period.
It’s been proven time and time again that there is only one race: Humans. So being racist is illogical really.
Highways, aide and federal relief to collapsed states economies? Yeah… that happens BECAUSE the north won. Without it? Yeah, you’re looking at just another broken state with a broken economy. Some states fair better than others because of oil, but we’d never reach the heights of Europe. Especially at the dawn of a global economy.
ОтветитьI bet this is a very friendly comment section 😂☠️
ОтветитьHad the South won the Slave Power would’ve been extremely emboldened. It means not only they secure slavery in the States but also in many of the Territories.
It would’ve been a pretty agressive State whose creed would be founded on racial dominance, thinking themselves superior, their leaders would’ve gone to war to seize Cuba from Spain and large parts of Mexico to spread slavery eve further.
Political tensions would’ve been higher than before as no longer being bound any Fugitive Slave Act the North would refuse to commit to bring back fleeing slaves and in return the South would’ve enacted particularly stringent border control. Slavery could have lasted up to 1914 !
Diplomatically the Southern Confederacy would seem pretty isolated diplomatically because of that. I’d venture to say that over the decades a Pan American war would’ve been waged where the South would be invaded by both North and Latin America. A new constitution abolishing slavery might’ve been ratified but replaced with an apartheid regime much sweeper than Jim Crow.
I think Germany and Japan would have had a much greater chance of winning in WW2. Especially Japan, they likely would have successfully established their empire. And I probably wouldn't have my favorite Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Donnie Yen movies
ОтветитьI think it's pretty well established that it didn't. What you mean is, "What if the South HAD won?".
ОтветитьConfederates went back to old times because of slavery. They left the tyranny of Europe to become the tyrants themselves.
However, the CSA could have helped by Russia in any case. Nonetheless, The Confederate would have internal conflict with the blacks and still USA would again interfere and take advantage of this weakness.
What if the liberal commentator knew his history
ОтветитьThe south will rise again ✊️✊️✊️
ОтветитьYou are rong we did not give 2. Shits about slaves
ОтветитьIf you look into the economics of the time, it is pretty clear that slavery would have ended fairly soon after the civil war.
Slaves would still have been second class citizens, but slave labor was not very profitable compared to the productivity of industrial equipment.
I wish this happened ~ 👴🏻
Ответитьyou couldn't make one of those slave drawings white?
ОтветитьIf the south would’ve won, we’d have had it made. Crime almost eradicated, single mother hood almost abolished and morality in general on the uptake.
ОтветитьWatch “Confederate States of America” it’s a mockumentary and I’d give it a watch if this topic interested you.
ОтветитьStop making it look like the Confederacy was about slavery. It was no more pro-slavery than the Union and Lincoln didn't care either was as long as it kept him in office. The Confederacy had a plan to eradicate slavery in place. There were slave schools in the South that you never hear about from the public (government) system (AKA Department of Education). President Davis said there was no sense in freeing slaves w/o educating them first. After all, they needed to know things like are they being paid properly once freed. Lincoln was greedy, so greedy that he forced war on the Confederacy.
On another note, your video is of good quality regarding technical aspects.
The main reason wasn't Slavery. It was due to anti Terriffs sentiment among the majority, and the Democrats losing the election.
So it didn't start over Slavery. But Terriffs ie taxes on imports.
Slavery really didn't become part of the war until 1863 with the Emancipation Proclamation.
Additionally the Corwin Amendment was already in the ratification phase when the war broke out.
Noted.
ОтветитьYea..."United".
ОтветитьI'm so glad the north won because if not there would still be slavery and so much stuff going on today
ОтветитьWhat would happen if the president was southern when the civil war broke out
ОтветитьGermany would likely have won WWII.
