I absolutely love how your winter world turned out! The colors were stunning and it looked like a game I would play. :D Everyone did a great job with their entries, as well!
ОтветитьYour awesome
ОтветитьI pressed a like button for every video I watched from your channel! I have to send a portfolio for my college workshop in a very short time. Your tutorial is REALLY helped me, Thank you so much♥♥
ОтветитьThis was pretty helpful watching your process. I want to get more familiar with pixel art as its kinda outside my medium. I liked watching your work evolve. I was not a major fan of the light blue outlight - because since youre over snow, I felt like it blended a little too easy for an outline - but im probably alone in that thought as its a common thing for pixel art to use both well contrasting colors and colors that blend easily. Overall, really impressed watching this. :)
Ответитьty for the tutorial but how the fuck do you make a fucking tile set
Ответитьnice video!! How this it work when you make organic HD graphic like The Swords Of Ditto?
ОтветитьHeyyy ur vids had been of great help to my Game Dev Journey so TYSM!, It's been a few years and Aseprite actually has a 1.3 with Tilesets/Tilemaps in it and was wondering if you're familiar with it? and if ever, an Aseprite 1.3 tutorial that also covers up the tilesets/tilemaps would be really great too! and prolly how to like also incorporate it to possibly game engines like Godot?
ОтветитьFire ball ! 🔥 .. stay warm!
ОтветитьI watched this video about a month ago. It was awesome. I was super impressed.
Fast forward a bit...since then, I have created some maps with default tile sets including some of my own pixel characters with walking animations (thanks to Lumbah!) Now I decided I wanted to have some of my own tile sets. So, here I am again. Hi. wave
Anyhoo, I just stopped to say your video is so informative. You did such a great job explaining your tile set building process. Thanks so much! Great content never gets old.
this is the first video I've seen on these subjects... which tools are you using in the earlier stages to prototype? 😊😊
Ответитьcool , cool
ОтветитьAs a top down pixel artist, this video is so helpful to me.And you have a sense of humour.Keep it up <3

ОтветитьGreat video!! Was very enjoyable to watch! :> Though I have a question, do you do all of these steps in one aseprite file or multiple? Thanks!

ОтветитьHello , amazing tips , thou what software r u using ? and can I use PS ? & thanx .
ОтветитьThanks it really helped me
ОтветитьLooks cool
ОтветитьAs someone trying to design their first game for GB Studio I super appreciate this video. I was trying to jump straight to finished tiles and was getting frustrated so the idea to start with simple mock up tiles helped me out tremendously.
Ответитьis their a website where i can get the tile/screen size specs for other gaming consoles (sorta like how you said gameboy was 160x144 and 16px tiles)?
ОтветитьI really would like a tutorial on colour theory!
ОтветитьAmazing video, informative, but not boring! I'm subscribing without doubt
ОтветитьYou know you can flip tiles as well as rotate them... right? You needn't draw that many tiles if you remember that detail.
ОтветитьVery helpful video! Thank you
Ответитьunderrated channel. im new to this stuff
ОтветитьI've been a game dev for 5 years and only just discovered pixel art, I have basically no art experience but I've fallen in love!
Ответить"I made sure the palette was shared between assets"
How do I actually do this, in aseprite?
Would I have to re-draw colours, on each asset or can I just create the palette and simply "apply" it to the whole spitesheet?
someone made warriors iceland
ОтветитьAs a Gameboy developer, this is really helpful. Thanks for making this, subscribed
ОтветитьTo make a full worldmap, you merge the 160 x 144 px tiles together?
ОтветитьI am just getting into game development. Using pixel studio for my art having a bit of trouble getting the flow of pixel art. But I think I'm going to give your first try a go or something similar at least. Think I'm just trying to take too big of a bite. I may put it into the awesome phone app game engine I've found called max2d. Thank you for the break down of how you go about it.
ОтветитьThe quality of your videos is astounding, so here's a new subscriber!
Ответитьthis man make it look so easy

ОтветитьThis is amazing :D I'm just getting started in top-down pixel art for games, and this video was both hilarious and SUPER informative :D
ОтветитьThis was actually a really nice breakdown of how to make overworld map tiles. I also just really love the reminder that it's okay to not get things the first time. Thanks for putting this together and sharing with us!
