OMG I miss her.....lovely, lovely lady, and her music was fantastic! She came from the Golden Age of music!
ОтветитьShe was on Carson in 1962, not sure why she says her career began at Woodstock
ОтветитьAll those moments. If we could only know how precious they would be...
ОтветитьI will always love Melanie. RIP sweet girl.
ОтветитьI've been watching a lot of these old interviews, and the younger Melanie's style of speaking reminds me of another Melanie, Melanie Griffith.
Ответитьshe was one of the greats. from that time
ОтветитьPoised. Adult. Charming. Shame that it wasn’t more successful. Very underrated because of all her ‘cute’ stuff. Rest in peace.
ОтветитьJust heard she's passed away at 76. Rest in peace Melanie. You were wonderful.
ОтветитьShe is still my every thing!!!!❤

Ответитьmust have made MA very proud
such a great singer performer
definitely should be in Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame
I returned from Vietnam and some friends took me to a concert and Melanie was one of the acts. I think she sang Going to Carolina and I was in love. She did a couple other songs, but I was so into her that I don't remember what they were. Seeing this interview confirms that I'm in love. I'm not a fan of this type of music. Strictly Rock and Roll but she just captured my heart. She is just so real.
Ответитьwow ,with Tony Bennet in awe :)
Ответитьthis was when Tony Bennett had to make face around the other crooners. he has learned a lot since then in comparison to him and lady gaga. age will do that to ya.
ОтветитьWhy do I always smile when I see her talk and sing!!!???? She makes my soul happy!!!
ОтветитьSad to say but this woman has been going downhill ever since her old man kicked the bucket 12-years ago.
ОтветитьLooks like you won the game kid well played thanks for showing us how it’s done.

ОтветитьI love how Melanie asks(tells!) Tony to sing along.
Brilliant clip.
What a fun interview! Loved the live version of "Look what they've done to my song." You killed it Melanie! 🤩🎉
ОтветитьMelanie!!! Lovely. Terrific! Classic!
ОтветитьFlash forward to the 21st century and yes Melanie we have grown with you.
ОтветитьI just recently became a Melanie fan, aside from me knowing Brand new Key, Beautiful People and Look what they've Done, i found her live performance at Woodstock where she sang Birthday of The Sun, she sat on a folding chair two microphones as it poured rain, the stage lighting revealed the water droplets on her Guitar. The thunderous applause after she walked off with her Guitar gave me a chill. This clip from the Mike Douglas Show in 1978 is amazing, she had matured and she was then married with two small children. The times have changed, i was 13 in 1978, a young teen, and i was more in to the Disco beat, and to see her sing Knock on Wood at the Academy of Music was so cool. I remember when that song was out, it was a Disco dance hit. Melanie made it her own. I absolutely love this lady! I know an old family friend who worked at the Academy of Music for years, i just thought I'd run this clip by her, she remembers that show that Melanie did at the Academy, the Knock on Wood was her just cutting out with her band after they performed. Thanks for posting this.
ОтветитьThat was wonderful!! Love every minute of it... <3
ОтветитьMelanie ROCKS!!
Ответить"I care less what people think of me now." Why?" "I don't KNOW!"
ОтветитьThanks Melanie. We love you.
Ответитьbefore my time but she is fantastic thanx you tube
