My favorite 3 knots are the modified siberian hitch, the eskimo bowline and the modified uni knot.
To see how to tie the modified siberian hitch watch the first video in my knots playlist and it's shown at the end of the video.
And to learn how to tie the eskimo bowline it's shown in the second video down in my knots playlist.
And to tie the modified uni knot, you start off like you're going to tie the modified siberian hitch, but instead of passing a bight through the loop, you instead pass the whole tag end through the loop about 3 or 4 times.
To hang my pack from a tree I tie the modiefied siberian hitch to the tree, then I bring the line through the packs handle, then I lift the pack up to where I want it to hang, then I tie another modiefied siberian hirch to the handle.
Love the video very informative thanks
ОтветитьMan just use trucker’s hitch along prussicks and taut line hitch to make your life easier and save half life of time.
ОтветитьIf you want a statick loop insteadof sinching loop: Try a kalmyk instead if evenk
ОтветитьDoes anybody know the book he demonstrated on? it looks great!
ОтветитьThank you. Very helpful.
ОтветитьVery informative! Thank you sir!
ОтветитьVery helpful, mate. Thank you for the informative video. New subscriber here.
ОтветитьHeres a dad joke for ya..So a piece of rope walks in a bar, bartender says we dont serve rope here..rope walks outside, messes his ends up and ties himself up and walks back in..bartender says are you a rope? Rope points at himself and says nope, Im a frayed knot. Great vid, learned a new knot!
ОтветитьThe set up technique is fast,no mess around, this you have demonstrated very well.I'd like to see you incorporate the lower/raise bends for your ridgeline. This is very handy when you need to quickly alter the sheet(hoochie) to create weathering from the elements. Can you do a little brew corner as well, that would be a very cosy tip for keeping hot beverage intake sustained for punters who need to keep extra warm in light kit layup.Your a gem mister!
Ответитьgreat video thank you so much, really well explained and so useful.👍
ОтветитьThank you so much for this tutorial. V clear and inspirational. I'm headed out to try these now with my new dd tarp! 😊
ОтветитьAwesome Nick
ОтветитьThank you very much for a video like this.
I just started outing into the bush and bought myself a tarp, pegs and some paracord.
I like the way your videos flow.

ОтветитьNice video! try to use as anchor knot: Highpoint hitch (quick-release even it loaded), trucker's hitch (modification, based on combination clovehitch+bite) - it gives adjustability and tension
ОтветитьVery clear demonstration of how to do these knots, from a middle aged woman who is hoping to go camping and use a tarp. I like how you used the picture of the gun to help with remembering how to do it - that really helps me.
ОтветитьGreat instruction, Thanks!
ОтветитьHi greetings from the Netherlands dutch army vet (recon). Thanks for the nice vid learned a lot. New to the channel subscribed..
ОтветитьYou can't beat a bowline on the first tree and a truckers hitch on the second. Easier to place, adjust tension (when the rope gets wet and stretches) and remove.
For the truckers hitch: make a slipknot a couple feet away from the tree; throw two half hitches around it so pulling on the rope won't undo the knot, then put the rope around the tree and cinch through the loop. Secure with another slipknot, like your first knot, but just a simple loop.
If it is good enough for horse highlines, it's good enough for a little bit of fabric.
Thx for the vids. Nicely done.
