Yes the taser wasnt "deployed" but he drive stunned him. And yes no punches thrown but he still actively resisted and looked to be reaching for that troopers sidearm.

Actually it looks like DIRECT taser deployment was used. Meaning the entire unit was pressed against suspects body instead of ranged deployment

That officer did a weird move lol. He grabbed the suspect but then it looks like the officer intentionally drops his body weight to bring the suspect down, but ends up landing on HIS own back. Ouch. Good way to get the wind knocked out of you.

I've seen combat situations where you either trip or throw the suspect off of their center of gravity to get them on the ground, BUT you are supposed to land ON THEM, not the other way around.

Stay upright as long as possible until you get the hold or angle on THEM, and then try to throw them off guard and push them out of their center of gravity stance. But make sure you land ON them not UNDER them, unless you're a damn Judo master that can quickly transition. And that's hard to do as a police officer in uniform wearing a duty belt and ballistic vest.

Cops need to fight crime not petty stuff, let the citizen be
