ASUS Didn't Deeply Offend Us: $1400 Pre-Built Gaming PC Review (ASUS GL10DH)

I have a GL10CS-BB76 and my exhaust fan at the back of the PC is becoming loud. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find the exact replacement.

I’ve measured the fans and they are both 3 7/8” which is telling me 97mm? But I’m assuming they are actually 92mm as they don’t make a 97mm fan. It’s really pissing me off, and I was hoping you’d have some advice.

I bought it for 899 on sale.

I bought my Asus GL10 (G10DK config) a little over an year ago for 900€ (discounted from 1300€). I guess for that price it was OK deal. I just yesterday installed an AIO cooling system because the stock fans are loud. I put it on the front of computer and ripped off the front panel for airflow. Now my computer is fugly but silent 😂

i know this is an old video but i got my hands on one that i swapped the 2700 out for a 3600 because it was just way too HOT! I swapped out the 8gb single stick to 16gb dual channel, have been fighting the thing idling at 50-70c on both cpu and Mobo. I swapped out the crappy cooler for one that i had sitting around for my old 2600 and that did drop the temps a little I just don't like the fact just running a browser it pops up to 70c both mobo and cpu. Tried lowering voltage but the bios does not seem to have the same settings as other main name boards, hell... can't even use xmp, damn thing wont go any higher then 2400 on sticks that are 3200mhz base.

The front case does have some airflow, and by some i mean next to none, at the bottom(base) of the front panel there is a gap underneath

Idk why you hating on this PC so much. I have one with gtx1650 8gb ram. I paid $700 for used. I have a ton of fun playing on it. I’m about upgrade a few specs so I can run wz2 smoothly and on higher settings. In my opinion this PC is great but not for $1200. I’d suggest buying it from someone as used and get to know what it’s capable of and then do upgrades here and there to get it to where you want it to be. I highly recommend this pc for someone who has no clue about PC and wants to learn and upgrade as you go. All I know is Asus is one of top PC companies with high quality. Dude is acting this PC is worthless. Maybe it’s worth $1200 stock but you can get your hands on one for 700 easily. That’s -500 from its original price. Also you don’t need a $5,000 pc to annoy your games. This pc alone is better than any ps5 or Xbox X

One year and 9 months after this video was uploaded, Asus ROG GL10DH is still $1,496.00 US. Insane how much they can justify charging for this especially as it has just a 512 Gb SSD and 16 Gb DDR4 RAM

Hey I'm am a student and wanted a pc couldn't afford to hire someone to buy the parts and build one for me so i bought a pre built the asus rog strix g10ce it's alright for a starting pc but the cooling is garbage it overheats while playing pcvr getting to 90c and above with the cpu gpu going to 70 or 80 is there any fans that will fit inside the system really appreciate it

I am watching this, and I cannot believe how far this brand has developed the Asus ROG Strix with access inside the system (G15CF model). I bought it on deep sale at Best Buy, and I have to give it to them: This is a good PC (in 2023) to start building a fabulous gaming rig. It has a solid base. Yes, it could have more fans (even in 2023) but that model was over 1k more. It would have the cooler master CPU cooler. The B660 motherboard can handle DDR5 RAM and is upgradable to the I13xxx platform without exchanging the motherboard. Bloatware is no problem anymore, there are two great application approaches (bloaty nose and Chris Titus' free program) to it. Best is ALWAYS to re-install after you take a snapshot of the fresh computer (it requires some planning). Today I am receiving the PA 120 and I have added 32GB, a 2Tb NVMe (now that they finally become cheaper).

It will be fine. It's not flow restricted. You simply need to interact with it, give it some CPR to get some air flow.

Basically what I've learnt from this playlist is that every OEM has issues. Even if I make my own and don't do a good job will have issues... I'll just keep My Aurora. For you every prebuilt is crap

The 3-year warranty actually starts on the product launch date, not the purchase date.

I found that out when I registered the ASUS ROG Strix G15CF.

It seems that ASUS ROG Strix PCs have an August launch date.

Rent a center and aarons rents these same pcs for double the price and lower end hardware like the gtx 1650 super and 8 gigs of ram lol.

Fake vents... it's like people who buy fake hood vents and riotously stick them on their Toyotas and say they're muscle cars!

Asus’ designs for components like graphics cards and motherboards are typically pretty nice to look at but their case designs are hideous.

ASUS didn't deeply offend us... Until it did. Although frankly, I'm now hesitant to try/recommend anything AM5 until at least 2024, because both AMD and other MB manufacturers handled the issue poorly.

Yeah, the g20cb was a great build. And I couldn't be happier to be building my own instead of buying one of these turds. The one I bought was cheaper and actually still preforms great. It's incredible.

You can overclock the ram on this, you should watch some others videos.

I see now why you call them teardowns and not stripping it down to see how its built.

Asus software deeply offends me. It not only updates without asking, it installs services without asking, reinstalls them when removed, and doesn't remove them when "uninstalled". If you're being objective, isn't it a virus? Viruses can be removed with less difficulty(disabled 14 services, removed from 4 different directories, disabled a dozen scheduled tasks...). And it caused noticeable performance issues doing simple tasks on my high end machine.

How do u put a disk drive on it

WHat is insane , is that literally no pre-build was good or could get a endorsement from steve, who has admitted that at this point the bar is pretty low. JUST INSANE!

Why does EVERY review of these ROG systems not realize the front air intake is along the raised bottom edge created by the front cover? Also, that film inside the front cover you thought was only reflective ALSO guides the air up into the front of the case. I added a front fan, a new CPU fan and a quieter rear fan, and it runs very cool and soundless. Considering the price, a great value. I could not even come close using parts where I am.

It's pronounced A-SUS, like suspect. Watch just ONE of their ads and see.

Got the G10DK variant, same case. It scorched the m.2 wifi card in the lower slot. The heat buildup in the lower half of the case caused the ACBel 500w bronze psu that came with the system to exceed temp tolerance which caused voltage instability and fried the motherboard. The nice thing is I salvaged everything except the Motherboard, PSU and wifi card. This was after 8 months of use. Don't make my mistake, put everything in a case with better cooling immediately if you plan to buy any of the asus pc's that use this case.

Could this be upgraded to 5000 or 7000 series cpu?

Does the motherboard can use a 5000 series cpu?

Is the PSU standard size, I want to upgrade mine.

Tbh, I just bought this build but, I got the 3060ti gpu in it. The only problems I had with it was that there was no packing material inside to keep the innards protected. I also got 3 rams sticks with it and one of them were loose and wasn't connected at the top so I just pushed it in til it clicked into place. It's a really good PC for a starter kit for sure.

I have the ROG Strix G10CE version of this computer. Mine has a i5-11400f and a RTX 3050. I also upgraded ram from a 8gb stick @ 3200mhz to a 32gb kit in dual channel at 3200mhz. I have a Noctua tower cooler on the way to replace that hockey puck thing that comes with the Intel systems 😅

After that I want to throw in a second and larger M.2 drive and eventually transplant it all into a better case like a corsair 4000d

i got it for 900 at my walmart it has a geforce rtx 3050 and a intel i5 pretty good in my opinion i think mine might be different then normal? its always quiet when when i play games at max settings overall i give it a 9.5/10

Never buy pre-built. Always buy custom built. Know what you are buying well before you buy it. Google is always there for you to ask. But mostly ask to other gamers like you, not to professionals.

Question . Can you change the ram to (2) 16gb for a total of 32?

I first saw this thing in Best Buy after building an all Lian-Li and ROG Strix rig. I couldnt help but ask myself why Asus could tag it as a ROG. I felt kinda insulted.

My GTX 1660 super 6gb OC edition pairs amazing with the 10th gen i7, Just check my latest video and the graphics speak for them selves.....
Its liquid cooled too so that might help a bit but my PC makes my room cold let alone the PC getting hot....
I only paid 455 pounds all in, So not too shabby with the price per performance....
