This song is so cool! I am so glad I gave this video a chance. It is on my playlist now.

It takes me back to when I was a far younger lad working at McDonald's. I just had an engagement to a girl I dated for a while fall through. She said she wanted space. I gave it willingly. Then she broke the engagement off. The last time I saw her family was when I dropped off copies of the keys to her car.

Her Dad came to the front door when I knocked on it. I told him what the keys were to and gave them to him. He quietly asked me if I wanted to talk to her. I quietly said no, that there was no point since it was all over. He agreed and gently closed the door and I returned to my car to go on my way.

Later on, I was sitting in McDonalds eating when one of my friends and coworkers asked where my fiance was. I told him that the engagement fell through. He said something along the lines of tough break dude and walked off. While we were talking this song was playing over the restaurants music system for the whole store.

Later on, I did marry another girl. But that memory of the conversation in McDonalds while this song was playing is still strong.

The last I ever saw her was when we met each others spouses that we got married to after the engagement fell through. That has been many years ago now.

Music is powerful. It can bring back memories from long ago.

My mom driving me and my friends to the Mall in middle school, Final Fantasy X just came out and I hardwired my PS2 up to the van's 12-inch LCD screen. Going to the roller rink on friday nights just to get told to slow down. Nights with my bestfriends Nicole and Josh out on my trampoline, this song playing on the radio. Amazing what the brain remembers from just a song.
