I was too young for the big rubber LJN's but I did have a decent Hasbro collection. Despite my collection I never liked how I could make my Spiderman figures do "wrestling moves' better than the actual WWF figures. My playing felt limited lol. Starting in 1993, I breifly moved away from wreslting and shifted over to Power Ranger figures. I REALLY enjoyed the early Jakks WWF figures but by the end of the Bone Crunching line I got "too old" to play with them.

Hasbro were pretty on the ball when Rhythm and Blues split. They just released Honky Tonk Man as a single, and held Valentine over to the next series, with the same action feature as intended, but a retooled figure with his more recognizable look.

I like how they gave Rick Rude chicken legs. Steve Austin said Rude use to wear long pants because he never worked out his legs, and he would mess with Rude about his skinny legs, he said Rude told him, "Damn it Steve, this is an upper body business!"

Only $3.99 for the figures? With inflation, that is $9.00 today. Very cheap.

Personally I played wrestling with GI Joes, the most functionally articulated action figure ever. I'd rather have my toys move realistically than look good with only one moving limb.

As a kid growing up in the Philippines and only seeing tape delays of months-old WWF footage before cable came around in '92, the only toys that were sold here were Series 2-7. I never saw a Series 1 toy until I went to Clark (the old US Air Force base) where servicemen were selling their kids' toys hoping to make a bit of money before moving back Stateside. Those toys were my childhood. I never saw Series 8-11 toys in all the toy stores in Metro Manila, only in the WWF magazines.
