i use to be so perplexed by this song when i was younger, i couldnt understand why she was saying she didnt need him or want him yet be sad when they break up or he got with some else, or how she loved him, but didnt want him. now i realize in my late 20s that this is about self sabotaging a relationship and realizing your bad for someone you care about.
